Dr. Steven Gary Eisenberg, DO

Dr. Eisenberg’s care for my mother was very disappointing. While he initially appeared kind and attentive, our first appointment proved otherwise. After she agreed to chemotherapy, she did not see him once until after many months. He was then prompt with follow-ups when her chemotherapy was effective, but his attention diminished as her health worsened. For her final PetCT scan results, the follow-up was abruptly rescheduled without explanation, and we only learned the critical information during an emergency room visit at the hospital. Additionally, during a chemotherapy session, a nurse accidentally administered the wrong infusion for over an hour due to failed quality checks. There was also a different instance where the chemo infusion bag was defective and leaked. Despite the severity of these errors, Dr. Eisenberg did not address its potential impact on her health. A doctor’s duty is to support patients and families in all situations, not just when the outlook is positive.

Excellent experience. Went in wanting no treatment and left deciding to try spot radiation. I'm glad he changed my mind and now have hope. Great staff and associates.

Dr. Eisenberg was compassionate and spent time with me to explain my medical condition and the proper treatment plan. He was friendly and courtesy and really related to the patient.

Dr. Eisenberg & his staff are the best! I arrived early and his staff quickly got me into a room and took my vitals to get me ready for my appt. I was referred to him by my primary doctor after having been "diagnosed" with having Pulmonary Emboli. My appointment was at 10am and he knocked on the door no later then 10:05. From the minute he walked in the door he was friendly, courteous, and genuine. He got the entire story leading up to the night I went into the Emergency Room and expressed sincere concern for my well-being. He spent 40 minutes speaking with me, making sure he understood everything correctly, and informing me on what the next steps were going to be in taking care of my health. His entire staff works extremely well together in making Pacific Oncology and Hemotology in Escondido a wonderful and friendly environment. I would reccomend him to anyone and everyone!

I went to see doctor eisenberg for consult about my recurrent pregnancy loss. He was extraordinarily compassionate. He reviewed my entire medical history with me and put it together in to report I could understand. He did additional research while I was in the room to look for recent studies and tests he could run to try to understand what's happening with my pregnancies. He was open minded and collaborative with me. I wish I had found a doctor like him sooner. I know that my life and the lives of my future children are in good hands with him. he gave me hope. I highly recommend this doctor!
