Dr. Steve Y Kim has the following 3 specialties
- Pulmonary Disease
A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the lungs and respiratory tract.
These specialists are similar to critical care specialists in that their patients often require mechanical ventilation to assist their breathing.
Pulmonologists diagnose and treat patients with conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, asbestosis, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, COPD, and emphysema. Exposure and inhalation of certain toxic substances may also warrant the services of a pulmonologist.
Some of the tools and tests pulmonologists use to diagnose a patient are a stethoscope in order to listen for abnormal breathing sounds, chest X-rays, CT scans, blood tests, bronchoscopy, and polysomnography.
- Internal Medicine
An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
An otolaryngologist is more commonly referred to as an ENT, someone that can treat medical issues you may be having with you ears, nose, or throat. This is a physician who is specially trained to diagnose and treat conditions of the ear, nose, sinuses, larynx (voice box), mouth, throat, head, and neck. These doctors treat patients through both medical and surgical means. For instance, an otolaryngologist may treat an obstruction of the nasal passage, caused by malformation of the nose, through rhinoplasty.

Extremely unprofessional and unethical! I went there for my nose and ear check up. The first & second visits were for ear tests only which I don't even know what they did. On the 1st visit, I believe they did eardrum pressure and hearing tests. The doctor analyzed the graph and told me everything is normal. During the conversation, I felt that doctor was not that well-trained or informed. That's how I felt as we exchanged the questions and answers. On the 2nd visit which was a few days later, they repeated the same tests as my 1st visit then one more new test. The duration of new test was about less than 10 minutes. I asked the staff what was it for and she replied it was for brain check up or something in that sort. Took the same tests 2x and still wants me to come back for the 3rd time. At the end of 2nd visit, I asked why not checking my nose problem and OMG, the nurse (or staff) actually told me that my insurance company restricts appointment time to doctors per visit??? Are you serious??? What kind of lame lie is that??? She must have thought that I would fell for that nonsense excuse. I absolutely was offended how she can make up stupid lie like that and actually said it without a blink of an eye. I asked her again out of disbelief and she told me the same story. WOW! From that moment, they lost my total credibility. There is no way I put my trust and body condition to these incompetent people. A few days later, I called to cancel the 3rd appointment due to my hectic work schedule and 2 weeks of upcoming trip. I asked the staff if the doctor just give me the result of new test over the phone and staff said the "NO." I asked politely why and she said that I have to come in for the result. I told her my other doctors have no problem giving the results over the phone without coming in but she insisted that I should re-arrange the appointment after 2 weeks. At the end, I hung up the phone and made my mind that I'll never visit this doctor again. It seems like they are not interested in treating my symptoms but making money off of me. I felt like they need that co-pay and do tests to claim to the insurance company. For me, co-pay is not an issue. My body is more important than $40. It's the overall bitter experience and condescending attitude from staffs that I had to encounter made me to write this review.
Worst doctor visit ever. The staffs are completely immature and they couldnt stop talking to themselves when patients were waiting. Those staffs needs to be fired as soon as possible. I will never visit them again. They were just talking to themselves minding their business and not taking care of the patient. after 30+ minutes of waiting, i went to the front to complain and now they told me the doctor is not able to see me today. Are you SERIOUS!?!!! I called yesterday and confirmed that the doctor will see me today and now they are telling me something otherwise? I am complaining straight to the Doctor and I'm going to make sure all of those staff get fired.
