Dr. Steven Lee Alabaster, MD

Possibly the worst doctor I have ever seen. Gave me Nexium which caused years of pain and acid rebound. Then told me to go to UW for further analysis. Would never trust this doctor for any sort of treatment!

I just have to say that Dr. Alabaster and his team are absolutely amazing. Susan, the CRNA made sure I was comfortable and at ease for both my, colonoscopy and EGD. I was so nervous the first time and Susan made sure that everything was going to be okay. After my procedures (different days) they followed up with me, calling me to see if there had been any changes. I to this day can not believe how courteous and caring Dr. Alabaster's team is. I wish he was a family doctor so I could see him for other issues! I am not the person to ever get online and write reviews about anyone. I work for Swedish, and no matter what, I will always see Dr Alabaster for any future GI issues, and always refer him to anyone seeking GI help! Thank you so much!

Dr. Alabaster was thorough with his imaging and imaging-related procedures, and interpretations, but if the problem resided outside of the images (such as my wife's condition) then getting recommended further action(s) and/or professional insight from him was like pulling teeth. His time spent with us after procedures averaged 3-5 minutes. Requesting further info was slim to non-existent. We ended up going to a different doctor.

Please seek an alternative, mr Alabaster is a lazy Dr, He does not ask questions, pretends to use his stethoscope, I once saw him use it without it being in his ears. He does not care about people just money.No passion for his job. Please do not see him.

This doctor performed a colonoscopy and sent me home with no information about houw bad my bleeding colon was. Two days later I was in the ER, after severe blood loss. A young surgeon saved my life, but not until after I fired this doctor and two of his associates. I would seek treatment from my cat's veterinarian before letting this man come near me again. Terrible manner, poor communication, lacks compassion. The gastroenterologist said he did not believe in probiotics when I asked about them.

I had my first colonoscopy yesterday. The staff really moved you along. Felt like I was on a conveyor belt. Which would have been fine, except there were complications. I would have liked more information on what they found. I'm relying on the internet to give me some answers. I feel that I should be getting those answers from Dr. Alabaster or his staff. Was told to contact the Triage Nurse to be informed how to "advance my diet". I've been on clear liquids for three days. She was in a meeting and 2 hours later, she still hasn't called back. It's probably not an urgent situation to them, but I'm really really hungry and would like to consume something other than broth.
