Dr. Austin has been practicing cardiology in Chattanooga since 1997. Dr. Austin received his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis where he also completed his Residency (Chief Resident). A Cardiology Fellowship followed at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. Dr. Austin was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1994 and Cardiology in 1997. He began in group practice in 1997 and private practice in 2001.

I have been a patient of Dr. Austin's for three years, but I met him several years ago while he was caring for a good friend who had heart trouble. I liked him for the way he cared for my friend, for his knowledge and quick action in diagnosing and treatment. When my general physician suggested I get a cardiologist to follow me, I immediately thought of Dr. Austin, and I have been very pleased with the treatment I have received from him.
