Dr. Steven Dapung Sun, MD

It was nice to find a surgeon that is a advocate for my health. The combination for approachable staff and quality of care by Dr. Steven Sun, made the surgery that I needed on my hands a huge success. I have found a great surgeon and give him a high recommendation.

I NEVER post reviews but after our third visit (and surgery) with Dr. Sun I was asking THEM where I could post a review. Really, I am that impressed with Dr. Sun and his entire team. My son had to have surgery after tearing a ligament in his thumb while playing baseball. We could not have asked for a better experience. From the very first visit, we were impressed with how quickly we were seen, examined, xrays taken and options discussed, surgery scheduled all in under an hour- SO impressive. On each of our subsequent visits we have never had to wait to be seen, even when we arrived 30 min early one time. I really feel like Dr. Sun and his entire team actually appreciate my time. Some offices you go in and sit and wait and wait and wait. Not here! Dr. Sun is very experienced, up on the latest surgical techniques, and very personable. His medical assistant Allie is fantastic, cheerful and very helpful with any questions or concerns. The surgical team at ProAlliance Surgery Center were… all wonderful! I feel like we have found such a top notch place that I want to tell everyone about it! Thank you Dr. Sun and your entire team- you are the best and we appreciate you so much!

Very comfortable and relaxed office setting. Wonderful staff all around. Got both hands done and everyone from nurses, receptionist, to billing and the doctor were a pleasure to talk with. Couldn’t have gone better! Thanks??

Dr. Sun repaired my broken right wrist very successfully. He had to put in a titanium plate and after 2 months I'm out of my splint and using my wrist. The scar is minimal and I really enjoyed our pre- and post- surgery meetings. He was attentive to my questions & needs and his staff were friendly and greeted me by name. I would definitely recommend him!!

My hand surgery with Doctor Sun was spectacular success. He and his staff were first class: responsive, friendly, knowledgeable. I also received excellent physical therapy from Kristin Rosen, who is an enthusiastic professional.

I've had the "opportunity" to enjoy Dr. Sun's expertise on a couple occasions due to accidental hand and wrist injuries. Every time, the interactions with Dr. Sun and the staff at Proliance have been excellent. I always felt like my questions were answered with sincere consideration, in a reassuring manner, which gave me confidence. The procedures were described fully, the surgeries conducted very professionally and the follow ups very thorough. Overall excellent experience.

Where to begin... So I had a hematoma under my fingernail bed that went crazy. I didn't have a primary caregiver, so I was referred to Dr. Sun for an evaluation/biopsy. the wait time was no issue, but he walked into the exam room, stopped as soon as he saw the finger, looked at me and said "I can't help you, I need to kick this up to UW". He then spent 4 mintutes trying to pop the thing like a blister (which pretty much feels like having your fingernail pulled out), didn't bother doing a biopsy (which was WHY I WAS REFERRED THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE) and then let me out after saying that it was a vascular lesion (benign). He had no info as to where I should go next, the office faxed the surgical referral to the wrong number, so after a week of waiting and researching the correct number he tried to send me to, the 'benign vascular lesion' prompted a 9 week wait to have surgery. Hey, fun fact; the 'vascular lesion' ended up being a stage-4 Acral Lentiginous Melanoma. Ended up losing the… finger and have had $30K worth of tests done since thanksgiving. I'm not blaming hi m for the cancer, or the fact that I should have had it looked at months prior, but dude..... when someone comes in with a referral for a biopsy, DO THE BIOPSY. Seriously, I've spent more time in Dr's office in the last 3 months than I have in the last 6 years and the visit with Dr. Sun was the least professional I've experienced.
