Dr. Steven J Delee, DO

I really like this facility, it's always clean. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Dr. DeLee is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. He is a good listener, doesn't make you feel rushed, and cares about his patients. I drive an hour and 10 minutes, bypassing many doctors along the way, just to see Dr. DeLee. I would highly recommend this facility, and Dr. DeLee to any and everyone

I made the mistake of trusting Dr. DeLee when my thyroid became overactive early last year. Although I had never received a formal diagnosis of hyperthyroidism and didn't know if my condition was temporary or not, Dr. DeLee ignored my concerns and prescribed methimazole (an anti-thyroid medication) without giving me any instructions or advice. When I returned to his office for a different problem and discussed the medication with him, the only suggestion that he gave me was, "If it's working, I'd keep taking it." Seriously? Since he failed to monitor my TSH levels as he should have done, I developed subclinical hypothyroidism from using the methimazole without proper supervision and for a much longer period of time than was necessary to resolve my initial symptoms. Now after 15 months of suffering, I'm having to take synthetic thyroid hormone every day just to get my life back on track—all because Dr. DeLee never ordered a routine blood test to see how the medication was affecting me.

I moved back to the area and this was to be my first appointment with Dr. Delee. I placed the appointment and put it into my calendar. A few days prior to the appointment I received a phone call verifying the appointment, I wrote the date and time on a notepad. I verified both the appointment in my calendar and on my notepad. When I arrived, the receptionist told me my appointment was scheduled for earlier that day, and that I had missed it. I explained that I was arriving at the scheduled time, but she insisted that I was wrong and would have to reschedule. I have decided to select a different family doctor, it is important that the staff supporting the doctor is professional and competent.

Dr Delee is wonderful easy to talk to and really listens to me I think his staff is grea,t very nice and helpful I will be back and I will be telling my family to switch there PCP and get into Dr Delee. Thank you for doing all you do. Have a blessed day.
