Dr. Steven Nigel Ghanny, MD

I would strongly advise any parent to avoid Dr. Ghanny. After seeing many specialists for my children over the years, this has been the most disappointing medical encounter I've experienced. Dr. Ghanny had access to my son's complete medical history from our first August appointment. Despite this, he proceeded with every major test for growth hormone deficiency—including a GH stimulation test and MRI—both long, difficult, and costly procedures. My son was confirmed to be growth hormone deficient, and insurance approved treatment. Only after months of testing and follow-ups did Dr. Ghanny suddenly express "reservations" based on information he'd had from the beginning. Instead of addressing this upfront, he dragged the process out for months, sending us from specialist to specialist. Every single one cleared my son without hesitation. Dr. Ghanny kept delaying, needing to speak to "more people"—many in his own office. At every step, he took over a week to respond. My son endured… procedures that could have been avoided. His physical and emotional well-being was never prioritized. Another pediatric endocrinologist prescribed treatment without hesitation. Find another doctor. I would never recommend Dr. Ghanny.

Meanwhile, Dr.… Ghanny continued to delay, claiming he needed to speak to “more people,” many of whom were in his own office and could have been consulted immediately. This lack of diligence cost my family over $2,000 in testing, not to mention the emotional toll it took on my son — who endured procedures that could have been avoided had Dr. Ghanny simply reviewed his history thoroughly at the start. At every step, he took over a week to respond, and it was painfully clear that my son’s physical and emotional well-being was never a priority. In my opinion, this level of disorganization and disregard is unacceptable in any physician, especially one treating children. I have never encountered a doctor who felt more unqualified, inconsistent, or difficult to work with. I have since seen a different pediatric endocrinologist who has prescribed this for my son without hesitation. Do yourself a favor and find another endocrinologist. I would never recommend Dr. Ghanny to anyone.

Today was my first visit to this clinic, I can only say that from the first day I called to make an appointment everything has been very good, I have no complaints and the whole process has been very fast. The doctor is very kind and explains well the problem that the patient has in this case my five-year-old son. He asked us if we have questions, he explained us very well and made us feel comfortable with what he explained to us and what we are going through with My child who is new to us as parents. The doctor explained the situation very well and most importantly he let us know that nothing was our fault and that there is treatment for my child and everything will be fine. The doctor looked at himself that he has a lot of experience and knows what he does.

Very difficult to schedule initial appointment. Physician changed his opinion at each appointment - contradicting his earlier opinion - this happened more than once. Our child possibly lost precious time for accurate diagnosis. Physician is very friendly and has a nice outward demeanor but I believe he overlooked an obvious condition.

As a doctor there are certain protocols that are followed. These doctors don't. They are dangerous to children which are notoriously difficult to treat in the first place. DO NOT seek medical advice from this practice.

Do NOT waste your time with this office! I have been calling for over 2 weeks to reschedule my son's appointment, left 4 messages and even called my Pediatrician, who also called this office and still have not received a phone call back! This office treats children? Deeply disturbing- find someone else
