Everyone from the front desk to the medical assistant treated me with kindness and respect. Dr Grindel is awesome!

Dr. Grindell is so competent. I was so glad to get an appointment directly with him for my elbow injury. He had performed wrist surgery on that arm several years ago. He is both mine and my husbands first choice for any upper extremity orthopedic issue.

Great doctor, great staff

Dr. Grindel is an excellent physician. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. He is an active listener and explains things very well.

As many others have noted Dr. Grindel seems to be working for/with the workers comp insurance companies! He was very rude and rough on me physically during the two appointments I had with him after my work injury. He was against surgery even with a high factor tear (over 50%) of my superspinatus (rotator cuff) which my second opinion doctor said was absolutely needed. He made comments like "How long have you worked for this company?" "It's just a little tear" "You had jobs in the past that were hard on your shoulders". My best guess is that the WC insurance companies offer to pay more for 'No Surgery' than what the hospital pays for his time operating. I wouldn't let this guy come within any distance of me with a scalpel. Treating people different based on a work injury should be against the code of medical ethics! I would give zero stars after how I was treated.

Dr. Grindel game me quality of life back. I had 4 pervious surgeries with another surgeon, who botched the last surgery. Dr. Grindel and his team came under with a plan and gave me realistic expectations of what the surgical outcome would be. It’s been 4 years since surgery, and my range of motion is better than we both expected. His bedside manner and follow up far exceeded the experience with the previous surgeon. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and although he’s very busy, I always feel that he gives me the time and attention I need at appointments and through MyChart. I’ll forever be thankful to him for giving me a normal life again, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great shoulder surgeon!

Although surgery turned out fine, my experience was negative. Dr. Grindl,was very nasty, telling me that I did not have the pain at the level I stated. I was very embarrassed because he did this with a group of other doctors present.

Performed surgery, to which not I’m not healing properly. Pain after 4 months! Accusations of what I was doing wrong as well as low pain tolerance. 2nd opinion was warranted and a problem was found.

Dr grindel is a great doctor. Very kind and caring. His pa Andrew barnett is also very kind. Dr grindel spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and explaining the surgery. My surgery was a complete success. I highly recommend this docor.

I recently had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery performed by Grendel. The good news is the surgery seems to have gone well. As far as Grendel is concerned, I found him to be abrasive, arrogant, and sarcastic. His follow up was abysmal. I never hear so many excuses for not following through after surgery. He seems to be too busy to care.
