Dr. Steven Landgarten, MD

Dr Landgarten was busy but took the time to explain my condition thoroughly & then listened to my questions & answered me in a thoughtful & clear way. I left the visit feeling confident of being under his care.

Seen Dr. Landgarten twice. On first visit he didn't let me talk, he would ask a question then when I would attempt to answer he would stop me mid sentence. Then he proceed to call me an idiot due to me not be covid vaccinated. After first visit I looked at my chart and noticed he falsified my chart. Second visit he was even worse. I am very comicated patient and he told me my symptoms didn't matter only what lab shows. He also didn't care to account for the fact I had used my emergency injection prior to lab work which wis why my levels were elevated. When trying to ask him questions he got very mad and hateful even walking out, saying I am not repeating myself. I am a nurse and have never been talked down to or disrespected then I was by this person who says he is a doctor. Stay away from him if you care about your life.

I felt like I was home again. Dr Landgarten to the time to explain everything to me. What the test results meant and what the treatment would be. I had total communication with him through the patient portal for all my questions. I would refer anyone to him and I have 100% trust in his knowledge. He’s a great caring understanding doctor and I faith in him that he is doing what is necessary for my treatment.

Dr.L has always been on schedule and on time with me. He responds to my questions, some of which I ask over and over, with patience, honesty and accuracy. I highly recommend Dr. L.

I WAITED 1 HOUR AND 15 MIN. FOR HIM TO COME TO MY ROOM. HE SAID THAT EVERYONE CAME AT ONCE AND I THOUGHT, "You better talk to you schedulers." THEN, EVERY TIME I WOULD TRY TO ASK A QUESTION, HE WOULD HOLD UP HIS HAND FOR ME TO STOP. RUSH THROUGH. I'LL NEVER RETURN.

Of the many phone calls to get information or request a blood test or to get a call back because of a concern, I very seldom get a response when I was told I would. Sometimes it is two or three days and only because I call again. I say many phone calls because one phone call does not work. I get good information, answers and action when I am there for an appointment but once I leave I get nothing when I call. Very frustrating especially since my thryroid problem affects my heart problem which involves a Cardiologist, who, by the way, calls me back the same day I call them unless I call too late in the day.

Incompetent staff. For my first appointment the staff confirmed MULTIPLE times that my insurance covered the doctor. Confirmed the same a day before the appointment but when I showed up they told me the insurance didn’t cover, they hadn’t checked properly and given me incorrect information and I had to pay out of pocket in full if I wanted to be seen. It took months to get the appointment and would take a few more months to get in with someone else when I really needed to be seen by an endocrinologist so I paid. They said they had called the morning of the appointment to let me know insurance didn’t cover. Whether they called that morning or not, for months they confirmed it covered and made the appointment on that basis. For the second appointment when I called, they wouldn’t make the appointment saying the medical assistant will call back and she will make the appointment but she never called back when I left the message a week ago, whether she will now or not remains to be seen. I… need to know about the high levels in certain test results but am stuck with the staff issues, not being able to reach anyone for answers or for an appointment.

I've been following up with Dr. Landgarten for an illness that usually requires surgery, but Dr. L. was willing to give medication a try and he does not make me feel ignorant because I'm choosing this route. He is a straight-shooter and there are no games, but I feel like he is taking great care of me and listening to what I want and explaining the risks of my particular treatment. I'm glad I found a doc that will 'walk with me' instead of just giving me one option.

Had I stayed a patient of his I would be dead by now.

I was a patient of Dr. Landgarten in 2013 and found him to be very professional, direct, and courteous. he explained my situation to me better than any doctor had before, and I knew what I was in for every step of the way. That puts me at ease. And yes, Darla is fantastic as well. I will be seeing them for another consult this week. More to come.
