I am a nephrologist who believes that the best treatment for kidney failure is transplantation and that the most important thing that a doctor can do is encourage his or her patient that they are not alone and build resiliency against all of life's changes and challenges. Life is difficult; helping others seems to be the thing that helps me accept that and give purpose. In my spare time, I like to enjoy and learn about wine and then try to "work off" the calories.
