Avoid this doctor. When my husband tested with marginally high cholesterol, Dr Prescop immediately prescribed statins without even asking about diet or exercise. We ignored the prescription, changed the lifestyle, and guess what...? The cholesterol came down and my husband's quality of life improved dramatically. The statins likely would have had numerous negative side effects. Later, my husband went to Dr Prescop and complained of difficulty urinating. Dr Prescop told him to drink less coffee. He should have sent my husband to a urologist or ran a test or two himself. He would have discovered a severely enlarged prostate. My husband ended up in severe shock with massive pain in an emergency room. He could have died. This doctor is a total douchbag with poor instincts. At least insofar as my husband is concerned, this doctor failed to take good care of his patient.
