Dr. Steven Robert Goodman, MD

After my injury happened I believed I was just going to have to live with the pain but Dr. Goodman told me he thought he could help. After several visits and some dry needling, I couldn't believe the difference in my pain. People were even commenting on how fast I was getting around. I'm a true believer. This stuff really works.

Saw this doctor for over several weeks and during everything seemed fine. Then we had differing views on treatment of IMS and discharged from his care shortly after with no referrals to anyone or anywhere. Will be nice and cordial as long as you are, but expect a massive change in attitude if you come in exasperated or anxious.

I was referred to dr. Goodman at my apt. He was not very interested in looking at was causing me pain. But how the fishing was in mt. Because i from there and he is a avid fisherman. He talked to me for about an hour mostly about mt and fishing. At the end of the apt. He said it's just muscle cramps and to get a massage. Well my wife is a massage therapist he was shocked by that i should him her records of work with me. He said she did not know what she was doing and i needed trigger point massage. Well let's see i took a poll from 15 massage therapist i know and not one agreed with him. Heck 3 of them said that's what he tells every one. he handed me a tennis ball and said when your back hurts lay on this. charged me 450.00 for my apt. And didn't want to make anthor apt for me. people should know he does not even have a dea number for writing scripts. I wasn't wanting pain meds all i want to know is why i hurt so much. i would never recommend him for anything

Dr. Goodman does IMS, a type of dry needling based on the work of Dr. Chan Gunn, that treats myofascial pain. This isn't acupuncture. I had terrible gluteal pain that was difficult to control with strong narcotics. After PT, injections of my SI joint and hip, and the locus of pain didn't work and my pain clinic doctor recommended a spinal stimulator, I was then referred by my orthopedist to Dr. Goodman. I first had four weeks of medical massage therapy and then started the IMS, weekly treatments. It hurts (although it is bearable) and it takes time (the number of treatments varies) but I am finally getting better. IMS is not well known; some doctors are skeptical; my insurance (ID Blue cross) won't pay for it (of course, they didn't pay for the SI injection either). I don't care. My life was terrible and I had lost hope until I started this treatment.

Dr Goodman is the Dr. to go to if you have chronic pain. His IMS was the only thing that turned my life around. I had been in pain for 3 years and after having treatment by Dr Goodman I am my old self again. Thank you Dr. Goodman
