Dr. Steven Ira Simon, MD

I went to dr Steven Simon office after waiting for an appointment for over a month. It was for my teen son. I had private insurance, which staff refused to verified since I had only copies of the card. I found from my insurance company that they had no right to do it. They should call my insurance and verify it. They treated me very poorly. I was refused privilege speaking to the doctor or manager. I even heard in front of my son that I can complain to whomever I want and they will not take me. I was offering to bring the cards after the appointment since I had to take off from work and my son had to take off from school to see the doctor. The only thing I heard was “ we will not take you, rules are made by the doctor and he pays our checks so we will do what he tells us to do!!!!. As I requested manager’s phone number and they threw a business card with the reception number and yelled “ have a nice day !!! Good bye!!!”. Well, no patient should be disrespected. I cared about that… appointment so much that I was about to pay in cash but instead of giving me that option they just threw me out of the office. Avoid !!!! There are better offices and definitely this is unacceptable treatment of any patient or human being!!!

I have had numerous biopsy’s and surgeries at the Brooklyn Atlantic Dermatologist & Assoc. The staff are always helpful & understanding and the doctors are very caring and are always there to answer any questions.

I have been going to Dr. Simon for the past 30 years. He has removed tags and moles both facial and from my back. He has always been professional, courteous and thorough. My one criticism is that he is at the office I use one day a week so it takes a while to get an appointment and the waiting time may be long.

Multiple skin lesions( squamous cell) treated efficiently over 5 years. Great office staff.q

All they want to do is sell you the home made stuff they make. Money is his game. Did not help. It's a joke.

I called to make an emergency appointment because I was breaking out with a rash and the receptionist forgot to put me on hold and proceeded to laugh and tell the other people there what I was calling about. When I said hello you didn't put me on Hold she hung up on me. The wait to speak to someone is long, the office wait is a minimum of 2 hours On a good day. I don't care how good people say this dr is the staff and the wait are not worth it. Rude and unprofessional. Never again!!

This doctor is only out for the money and is very rude and condescing. His staff is horrible...... absolutely no interpersonal skills. I made a big mistake by going there. By far, the worst medical office I ever went too. Have contacted AMA.

Excellent Doctor who knows his stuff.

I came in with some serious concerns. One being I had mosquito bites under my eyes and I was concerned for an allergic reaction and two a stubborn nail fungus that has not gone away in two years despite over the counter medication. No questions were asked, just "diagnosis" given. He told me the bites were "rosacea" from drinking hot coffee or having some " wine" and that my finger, surely I must have injured it. Believe me, I would have remembered injuring my finger that now has a deformed nail!!!!! His medical manual is from the 1800's! Go to a real doctor if you have any real skin concerns. I did and I got the right treatment.
