Dr. Steven M Tredal has the following 2 specialties
- Emergency Medicine
An emergency physician is a doctor who is an expert in handling conditions of an urgent and extremely dangerous nature. These specialists work in the emergency room (ER) departments of hospitals where they oversee cases involving cardiac distress, trauma, fractures, lacerations and other acute conditions.
Emergency physicians are specially trained to make urgent life-saving decisions to treat patients during an emergency medical crisis. These doctors diagnose and stabilize patients before they are either well enough to be discharged, or transferred to the appropriate department for long-term care.
- Occupational Medicine
You might work with an occupational therapist when you’re injured or if you have a disability. They rehabilitate and assist patients with every day activities, such as eating, getting dressed, working and attending social events. This includes self-care, leisure and work-related activities that lead to increased independence and development. Their goal is to empower people to still live the life they want despite any physical, developmental, social and/or emotional issues they might face.

I came into the ER to get something done that I usually get done and that is for IV fluids b/c I'm pregnant and have a condition that makes me nauseous and therefore I vomit A LOT and get super dehydrated! Anyway, the doc told me to open my mouth and stick out my tongue. After I did that, he told me that I wasn't "that" dehydrated when in fact I've been throwing up 4-6 times per hour the last couple of days. I told him the condition I have and he looked at me as if I was making that illness up when in fact, only 2% of pregnant women have it. He would ask me questions and then say something even before I answered the question. The wait time to be discharged was an hour and that was a big no no for me. Overall, the doc doesn't listen, doesn't ask enough questions, made me feel sort of dumb, and pretty much I left the ER wondering why I chose this place the first place.
I left the ER feeling belittled and humiliated. The reason for my visit was poorly discussed. He asked me 4 times if there was recent drug or alcohol abuse. Each time the answer being no. He then proceeded to check my arms for needle marks. Asked me "well what is it you wanted me to do here for you?" How about do your job. Stated since I had no insurance I would be receiving a large bill and didnt address my high blood pressure or the fact that I had a fever. I will never go to United Hospital or any other facilty that inconsiderate man steps foot in!!!
Horrible bedside manner. That is why I requested a report of my Er visit. Came into the room and started to question my past er visits instead of asking me why I was at the Er in the first place. Ran tests we did not talk about even though in the report it says we talked about it. Did not listen to anything I was saying. Lied in the reports about what tests were done. In the scribe report it says one thing and then in the Doctors impression it says another. Left the ER feeling worse then I did before came I. Worst experience i have ever had at the ER!!!!!
