Dr. Sucharitha Shanmugam, MD

I saw her in January and was told I did not have arthritis, I had trigger fingers on both hands. I paid $110 upfront they said toward my Medicare deductible. I was never told there would be additional billing and when I received a bill for $47, I immediately called and questioned it. I told them I would not pay t h e additional money and feel freedom send my account to collections. In speaking with Annette today she stated.in t h e.paperwork I signed that if after 3 billing cycles I had not paid, they would charge my credit card on file. I asked for a copy.of what I signed form to be emailed to me. She said she emailed it to me, however, I gave not received it. On May 13, they charged my account $47. As soon as that email arrives I will make my next move. Pretty expensive fee to get the name of a hand surgeon.

This woman is cold and has no compassion. Rheumatology is known to be a complex speciality. She has no desire to help you navigate your issues unless you are straight forward easy diagnosis. I have no idea why she chose this speciality when she has not one ounce of understanding. “I don’t know what you want me to do” was repeated to me multiple times. Also told me to see another rheumatologist. I am a nurse and could never imagine treating a human being who came to me for help the way she treated me. I left her office in tears and feeling ten times worse than i did walking in. Hope this helps someone else not give her the chance to impact them the way she did to me.

I was introduced to Dr. Shanmugam about 10 years ago due to my Osteoporosis diagnosis. She is the most caring doctor that I have ever had. She listens to the patient carefully and follows up with your problems. Her bedside manner is excellent as well. She is very knowledgeable and experienced

I have been Dr Shanmugam’s patient for at least 8 years. I found her extremely knowledgeable and very kind. She listens to you, she doesn’t rush you out to see another patient. If you are unhappy about something in her office, you can talk to her about it. Once I asked her, Dr. am I going to end up on a wheelchair? She looked straight in my eyes and said Not under my watch. I believe in her and that’s why I have followed her from her previous practice to this new address.

It is hard to find right medical specialist these days. Dr.Shanmugam is really good in diagnostics. I consulted her for Rheumatology and she was on dot to find my RA is high and that I would need to control, if not the joints will be permanently damaged. She was also good in explaining what might happen in the future. I would strongly recommend her.

I had been suffering for so long and I went to see Dr. Shamugan. She ordered labwork and she told me there was inflammation. She didn't look into where it could be coming from just kept telling me to come back to get more bloodwork to see if it was still there. I had gotten my own copy of my bloodwork and months after the appointment saw that one of the lyme's test was abnormal. She never told me. I had to go to another dr. to get diagnosed. If I had never gotten my own copy of labwork, I never would have known. Please don't go to her.

Horrible experience...Don't waste your time!!

horrible, horrible, horrible. She and her assistant have no regard for their patient. Everything falls through the "cracks" and no messages are ever returned. Don't waste your time!
