Dr. Sunisa Chanyaputhipong, MD

Dr. Chanyaputhipong is, without exception, one of the most brilliant M.D.s in practice today. Her approach to diagnosis is, perhaps, the most thorough I have ever experienced. I have had the privilege of working as a hospital chaplain back in Florida and I would evaluate Dr. Chanyaputhipong as being at, or very closely to, the top diagnosticians I have ever encountered. Her diagnostic abilities are complementary to her role as an outstanding healer. She is currently working with an organization that has some of the least fortunate of us, yet that does not diminish her giving each patient the time necessary to effectively diagnose and have a treatment plan that fits the patient - it is definitely not "one size fits all" practice of medicine. While I have had physicians who were nationally known for their practice of medicine, I would place Dr. Chanyaputhipong amongst the best of them.

After spending a few years with her, I decided to leave. Sometimes getting an appointment was next to impossible, especially in an emergency. When I called about a swollen foot due to bee sting it took their office 3 DAYS to get back to me. The up side was it was a minor allergy to sting, can you imagine if it had been worse. Nursing her baby on the clock was a problem at work. She couldn't pump it and leave it at home for her husband to do. AND I AM PRO NURSING. She would do it on the clock during MY time and then hurry it along so she could get to next patient. She never checked out things. I have a tumor on my leg, instead of biopsy of she just said it was fat. The last straw was when I went in for a constant lump in my throat and was told it was seasonal allergies. After switching doctors, we found out it was a pre- cancerous lump. I wouldn't even trust my worst enemies to this doctor.

Seldom in the realm of modern medicine does one find a physician who is truly interested in helping a patient. Yes, there are those who proclaim an allegiance to medical ethics and their oaths to their patients, seldom does one encounter a physician who has given her all to her profession. Dr. Chan, as she is know by her patients, is without exception the most thorough physician in learning about her patients. A new patient can expect that she will spend, what some may consider inordinate amounts of time, getting to know her patients entire medical background. Her probing questioning causes one to really seek underlying issues that might effect the disease for which the patient is seeking medical help. With her abilities to probe far into one's distant medical past, she then shows her abilities as a diagnostician. I have been a patient and chaplain in a hospital setting in Florida and I am fairly familiar with physicians and their abilities to effectively diagnose diseases. … NEVER, in my entire career have I found a physician who can combine truly effective diagnosis with effective treatment, Dr. Chan met both requirements with outstanding abilities and performance. Follow up after the visit is an area of medicine that has been sorely lacking in many practices. Dr. Chan's nursing support is of the highest quality and their performance of their responsibilities to their patients so greatly shows it. While many physicians can be, by themselves, effective follow up is frequently sorely lacking. This definitely is not the case with Dr. Chan's staff. Their procedures and actuality in follow up with patients is almost without parallel. Needless to say that I, as a person acutely familiar with the hospital and physician settings, can proudly say that I am so blessed to be in Dr. Chanyaputhipong's care.

Since I had my first stroke, approximately 17 years ago, I have had literally 100+ physicians on my case. After having been in the hospital for 5 1/2 months, sent home with hospice and having one particular physician - board certified in three disciplines - determine the cause of my medical problem (reaction to valproic acid) I have yet to find a physician who is as well qualified in her profession than Dr. Chanyaputhipong. Her in-depth analysis of my previous medical history; willingness to provide medical counsel and, most importantly provide, effective follow-up has set her far above her peers in medicine. Dr. Chanyaputhipong's dedication to her patients, as well as her dedication to her profession, is far above what one normally finds in the medical profession. Were I able to make an award to the 'most effective physician', she would be the recipient of such an award. Dr. Chanyaputhipong I thank you for being able to call you my physician!

A caring, brilliant young physician who exhibits the best of her profession.

Dr C has always had a caring attitude with me. She voiced her concerns about my being considerably overweight and my high blood pressure but always in a professional way, of course. She seemed genuinely happy when, on my last visit, she realized I had lost 40 pounds. She encouraged me to continue at the gym and that she'd see me again in 3 months. I'm not going to dissapoint her. I hope to have lost at least another 40 pounds. She is absolutely the best doctor I've ever had. Thank you Dr C
