Dr. Suresh Mendpara, MD

I wish I knew what I do now. If you are thinking about going to this doctor I would keep looking for someone else. The nurse at the office is very kind but that is no reason to stick with Medpara. My cancer was caught early and under his care for a year he ignored my pain and told me it was not the cancer. He didn't do tests to make sure. He just said it wasn't the cancer. Months went by and the pain got worse. He finally started doing more tests but not with urgency. Three more months went by before it was confirmed that it was the cancer. My cancer is an aggressive cancer and the only way to treat it was to catch it early. I was lucky and it was caught early by another doctor. My mistake was going to Mendpara. If you don't need a doctor to do anything other than follow a chart and give treatment that the book says to give to a person with a particular cancer you might luck out. This might be what some patients need so their experience will be fine. In my case he ignored me and the… notes from the radiologist on my CT scan saying further testing should be considered. Once many months went by before confirming it was the cancer (after him repeating it was not the cancer without doing any test) he then told me I was going to die and there was nothing anyone could do. He was rude, no compassion....that was it. My worst mistake was trusting this doctor and that is why I want to warn anyone thinking about going to him. He doesn't appear to know how to read imagining, either. Go to an oncologist that knows how to read the imaging. I have since gone to other oncologists and they were all able to read and know it was cancer.

I have been going to Dr. Mendpara for 6 years now. He is so kind and explains everything. He has a excellent bedside manor and his knowledge of medicine is excellent. Would defiantly recommend this Dr.

Dr. Mendpara's thorughness and accuracy in diagnosing and treating my cancer is why I am currently healthy and cancer -free. He also works effectively with other physicians to ensure that everyone is well informed on my case and that additional follow up is provided. He is kind and takes the time to explain the medical issues to me.
