Dr. Susan Lynn Baker, DO

I am a decades long patient of Dr Sue. It is sad to see the practice change to monthly hostage payments per person ($150/month/person PLUS your insurance) and limit the practice to only 600 patients. Do the math 600 patients x $1800/yr yields a shade over $1 million dollars/year JUST to be your dr. That amount does NOT include ANY insurance payments they receive. And since her hubby is also doing the MDVIP program, they will be raking in $2,000,000 + just in patients monthly payments - Sad to see this transition.

I would rate this place as a whole with a 2. Especially the receptionist ladies, they are so rude every time I call, talk to me like I’m stupid, don’t answer or help me with questions I have, I recently switched offices because they suck so much and it took me 2 hours to figure out how to get my records changed over, they have no clue what their doing. Every visit I have to wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then get brought back and have to wait another 20 minutes to see the dr. THATS WHAT AN APPOINTMENT IS FOR PEOPLE. Dr baker is very sweet, but doesn’t seemed too concerned about things that concern me. I went in once with chest pains and she did not give me an EKG, and told me it was just anxiety, then ended up in the hospital the next day with severe chest pains and ended up having pleurisy. They are very uncaring as a whole and I would not recommend kentwood family physicians

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Susan Baker - over the years, I've had issues such as atrial fibrillation and a few other less serious ones. Dr. Susan has always spent the time needed to answer my questions, and she has gone the extra mile to complete reports for outside agencies very quickly. Although I no longer live in GR, I happily drive the hour it takes now to keep my yearly appointment.

She’s so bad - its hard for me to believe she is even a real doctor. I’m filing a report with the state of Michigan for terrible medical advice and not even being up to date on what vaccines children need.

Susan Baker does nothing but writes excessive scripts instead of trying to find out whats really wrong. She doesn't care about patients

horrible doctor...she doesnt care a bit about her patients well being. Her husband should fire her from their practice

Treated me like I was a nuisance. Did a very brief and neglectful physical exam even after making several return visits for same problem. Wouldn't help expedite an appt with a specialist (which I had taken upon myself to make). Turns out that I had a tumor and cancer only found by the specialist.

I thoroughly recommend Dr. Susan. She is not a pill-pusher, like so many doctors are. She takes the time to get to know me, and my symptoms, so she can accurately work with me to resolve the issue, whether it be with her care, or another doctor's care, or with alternative treatment. After all, a doctor needs your entire medical history before s/he can make a proper diagnosis.

I had started taking birth control and I wasn't reacting the way I thought I should to the specific prescription. I asked if I could try a different pill and Dr. Baker was not helpful at all with trying a new pill. She said they all had the same effect and that I just shouldn't take them at all if I didn't like the one she prescribed.

Susan Baker almost cost my mom her life. We have a strong history of heart disease, and Susan was monitoring it along with my mom's cardiologist. My mom came to her describing certain symptoms and Susan failed to properly diagnose it and also never sent the results of her tests (even after multiple calls requesting them). Shortly after my mom called her saying she was experiencing shortness of breath (a MAJOR symptom of heart problems in women) and Susan did not even return her phone call. After coaxing my mom to go to the ER, we found that her main artery was 90% blocked and she was dangerously close to a heart attack...one she would not have survived. My mom is very fortunate, but too many women die of heart disease each year not to warn others that I firmly believe Susan Baker should not be in this industry.
