Dr. Susan Marie Sharp, DO

If I could give this PCP negative stars, I would. No doubt THE WORST PCP I have ever encountered! When I called to schedule my initial check up and to do a quick initial patient screening, they asked me to go to a local CVS to check my blood pressure as this was a "requirement". I thought this was odd, as this was the first time ever hearing that the patient had to check and report their own blood pressure. My first three scheduled appointments got canceled 30 minutes to an hour before the time I was supposed to come in. They do not respect your time. Both encounters I had, I had to wait at least 45 minutes from my scheduled time to see the doctor. My last encounter drew the line for me. I waited nearly an hour to be seen for my pap smear and fill on my birth control. The receptionist entered the room and asked for basic information (birth date, height, etc.), when this information should have been recorded during my first visit. Odd, but sure. Then, I was told by the receptionist that… the doctor was unable to perform the pap, although I was at the end of my cycle. This was a lie - I have spoken to other providers who say this can be done nearing the end of cycle. Okay, fine. BUT, they wanted me to pay a $55 co-pay for NOT EVEN BEING SEEN BY THE DOCTOR or a $50 cancellation fee when I did indeed show up to my appointment LOL. Then proceeded to tell me that bi-yearly check-ups were REQUIRED by my insurance, even if my health is in good condition. Another lie, as I had called my insurance to confirm this is in fact not the case. Stay away from this office if you can. They are UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE and will try to squeeze money from your pockets if you are naive and allow it.

PATIENT ALERT: I witnessed the office of PCP Susan M. Sharp, D.O. (Dr of Osteopathy) share personal, private medical information with others. After Dr. Sharp saw the previous patient off, she came into my examination room exclaiming, "Each time she becomes pregnant, she comes here wanting an abortion. I don't do abortions! I referred her to an obstetrician." This was very disturbing to me. Please beware! Your medical information may be compromised.

I called to see if I could get an initial appointment. As soon I called, I was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I tried to be patient, but I could wait any longer. If this is my initial interaction with them, I can’t see if getting better. Then, I googled her and found that she’s late from time to time without notice. I’ll have to pass on this doctor.

I have seen the Dr. for about one and a half years and enjoy her very much. She is opened mined and as helped me with my problems every time-a Dr. like this is difficult to find so I'll wait if she's late because she's good and listens. I don't like the wait but take a book and you won't notice plus she is fairly easy to fit you in if some happens and need to see her sooner. Her new receptionist is very -Emily- if very pleasant and knows what she is doing which cuts down on time there. I'll continue to see her.

I have spent a lot of time looking for a doctor that puts their patients first. Dr. Sharpe definitely delivers. You may have some runover time at your appointment, and she might run a little bit late. I have never had issues that ran more than 15 minutes. Outstanding service with full discussion about your overall options, treatments, diagnostics, and lifestyle options. Not just an industrial-line doctor, she is an old-school doctor who puts value on treatment of the person and whole picture, not just the results of a single test. Her personableness is possible a slight fault, but I would rather the error be on that side of the line, than the other. I will be continuing to see Dr. Sharpe for some time to come. I trust her.

An hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time and nobody has come in to tell me she is running behind or anything for that matter. If they would have told me that from the beginning I would have rescheduled. Have had past problems with receptionists. Completely unprofessional.

I have been seeing Dr. Sharp for a couple years....but today I have to find a new dr. She is very personable to a fault. Today I got there 5 min. before my appointment....2 hours later after sitting in the exam room, I left....she saw 2 patients in the 2 hours I sat there. Then she took a phone call. AND, I paid my deductible....CRAP !!!

Dr. Susan Sharp has been my Dr. For many years. For all the people complaining above, there are many more who understand and love her. If you want a Dr. Who will treat you like a number at the Deli or Butcher, rushing you through, then Dr. Sharp is not your Dr. If you want a Dr. Who cares more about YOU than the mighty dollar, then you've come to the right Dr. If you want a Dr. Who will take care of you and ensure you get all the care you need, then she's it! If you are a whiny negative person, DO NOT GO TO SEE DR. SHARP...I FOR ONE, CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR WHINY NEGATIVE VOICE!!!! I bring my work and sit as long as it takes because I understand she cares for and loves her patients, just as I do mine! Please, do us all a favor and go find a Dr. Who rushes you through and sees $$$ signs and Mercedes Benz's when they look at your face!!!
