Dr. Susan Maria Schreffler, MD

In 2023 I was treated by Dr. Schreffler in the emergency room of a St. David's Hospital. I was diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis of the femoral vein in my left leg with total occlusion from the upper thigh to the ankle. Dr. Schreffler put me on a high initial dosage of the best blood thinner (I am still on a greatly reduced dosage two times a day) and I really saw the compassion and care in her eyes as she explained my precarious health condition to me. I feel that I have to thank her quick diagnosis and decisive actions for the fact that I did not have a stroke or embolism. I have full use of my leg to date and am active in bike riding and fitness classes of one type of another at least three times a week . At this point the clot has cleared, but the valves in the vein sustained permanent damage from the clot (hence the continuation of the blood thinner ) . Sorry that it took me over 2 years to write this review. Dr: I can't thank you enough !

Dr. Schreffler took such good care of my father during his final visit to the emergency department. She was so kind and kept us informed every step of the way during a very hectic and sad time for my family.
