Dr Suzanne Kerley, MD

Dr. Kerley I found had a very pleasant bedside manner. Was always available when I called . After my double mastectomy I had healing issues , one of which required immediate surgery. I had a tissue expander break through my skin. She was not in the office at the time ( Dr.Dakkuri was ) . Anyway he called her up, explained the situation and she promptly stated I'm on my way, got a hold of surgical staffing to stay late ( surgical center closed at 5 pm) I was in surgery room with in 30 minutes of that call. Thanks to her immediate response they where able to save my expander in breast and decrease risk of infection. I only give her a 4 star because at the time of my initial visit all my surgical options in regards to breast reconstruction where not explained to me at that time. Beyond that I have no complaints in regards to her surgical ability. I have to say in the end although she did my initial start of reconstruction I had a different surgeon complete it and this was only because… Dr.Kerley at the time did not perform microvascular surgery which was the option I chose over breast implants.

Dr. Kerley is a fine surgeon. This is my second surgery with her. My only criticism of her is that she has NO bedside manner. She didn't even tell me when she was done with my surgery, and I was awake. She just disappeared, then reappeared in the recovery room where I was flat and couldn't see her. Then she disappeared again with no good-bye or any other salutations. I felt as if I was just her "job" (income)for that time period in the OR and then it was on to the next $ job. I just hope that the results of my surgery are better than her bedside manner. Yes, I would recommend her and would use her again.
