Dr. Svetlana Valeryevna Shifrin-Douglas, MD

This dr. gets no stars. She is very difficult to understand. She never picks up the phone to talk to you. She goes through her medical assistants that can not take a message correctly to get the correct info the patient. She maybe a good doctor but I wouldn't know because she has her medical assistants do her work.

I have had a thyroid disorder for 24 years and have been to 6 endocrinologists in Monmouth County over this time period, one was just a single appointment, so a total of 5 for an extended period. I would consider myself a smart patient, knowledgeable about my disorder and always asking questions. The reasons for leaving these 5 endocrinologists are lack of sincere concern, 2 hours office waits, not able to keep TSH in range, very unfriendly doctor, not knowledgeable enough. NOW I HAVE FOUND AN AMAZING DOCTOR WITH DR. SHIFRIN-DOUGLAS, SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, GREAT AT WORKING WITH THE TSH AND ANY COMPLAINTS, DOES ULTRASOUNDS RIGHT IN HER OFFICE , AVAILABLE WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM, AND VERY NICE!

I went to this dr. For thyroid blood work that my primary dr. wouldn't do. It was very quick to get an appt. Dr. Shifrin- Douglas listened to every complaint and during her examination found nodules on my thyroid that no other dr. Could feel. She sent me for appropriate tests and biopsy, which led to the diagnosis of papillary thyroid cancer. Without her knowledge and experience, it would not have been found early. She saved my life, what else can i say? She is the best!!!
