Dr. Sylvia Hope Tufano, MD

My c section incision became badly infected and Dr. Tufano did surgery to drain the infection. My pain went away and I'm recovering well.

I was very disappointed after meeting with Dr Tufano and expressing my concern for wanting a baby and my age. Her words were, I cannot help you and referred me to LI Invetro. I felt she was not interested and maybe the fact that I was a fairly new patient was the reason. But my insurance doesnâ??t cover Fertility DR or practices and well I was hoping for a little more help..vitamins, maybe a hormone shot something. I have not given up. And made an appointment for my annual checkup and will ask her again..If I get nothing I will seek another GYNO Sorry but I feel Iâ??m important and I matter and would love for someone to just try and help me with this. Hopeful

Dr. Tufano is a wonderful person and a great doctor. She is always kind and takes her time explaining anything I ask. I have been seeing her for several years and I think she is wonderful. I have referred several people to her that are extemely happy. Thank you Dr. Tufano!

She was obviously more concerned with going on vacation then helping us. We will never deal with her again. Thank you for nothing....

I please of working for Dr. Tufano years ago in Hewlett. What struck me about her was her professionalism not only towards the patients but also towards the staff. She is a very warm and kind person. She is a great Dr.

She's really calming when you're nervous about a procedure and she always can put a smile on your face. She's a great doctor and an amazing person. My whole family goes to her and we love her so much.

I have met with Dr. Sylvia Tufano numerous times and found her to be knowledgable, kind, and efficient. She is a doctor who is both very intelligent and yet also down-to-earth, something which is quite rare. I feel lucky to have her to help me out, and am appreciative of all she has done for me. She takes the time to explain things and always lets me know all my options for treatment. The one time she was running late due to an emergency, Dr. Tufano apologized to me, which I thought was so kind and not even necessary, because realisitically we all know that doctors get called out for emergencies, this is part of her job. I appreciate that doctors like her work so hard and are always availabe for emergencies, and would be available to me if I ever had an urgent medical problem. Even so, the fact that she thought about not just how it inconvienenced her but also how it affected me, and apologized, really meant alot to me. Not all physicians are that respectful to their… patients. I wish all of my doctors were as professional and kind as Dr. Tufano.

The most amazing doctor ever. She saved my daughter's life. I would trust her beyond anybody else.

She is wonderful. So caring and considerate. First doctor I ever had that actually reviewed my medical history with me instead of looking over what the nurse had written. Will never see anyone else again.
