Dr. Tahir Rahman, MD

Never again, I say. I never thought I needed a PSYCHIATRIST anyway, but my primary care begged so to help him out, to help him prescibe medicine for depression due to chronic back pain. Dr. Rahman is in our insurance network, so I made an appointment and went. Waste of my time , he barely glanced at my MRI and suddenly had me paralyzed and my bladder malfunctioning( funny, I didn't know he was a spinal specialist)Threw both my pimary care physician and Physical therapist under the bus!!! Didn't seem interested in helping me at all. Reluctantly handed me a prescription for a medicine that raises heart rate and causes weight gain.Now I had already told him, that my doctor took me off one, because of blood pressure and heart rate issues. I say, no , never again. HE DIDN'T LISTEN TO A WORD I SAID !!

I felt like he only was there to write me a prescription. When things got more difficult than "I'm doing well," he handed me off to a different therapist. Didn't feel much of a personal connection.

feel i wasted valuable time going to him for over two years. don't be impressed by residency at John Hopkins. i don't now much about medical school he graduated from in India? have found much better Dr. who has successfully diagnosed. new dr. really listened and my life has been changed. current dr. is amazed on how and what i was treated with. would not reccomend. sorry but should look elsewhere. i am now sure there are many better doctors.
