Dr Shatara is a very good listener. He sked very questions that noone else thought to ask before. I appreciate his sense of humor. I can highly recommend Dr. Shatara.

My 17yo son had to go see Dr. Shatara and it was a very good experience. My son was nervous to go, understandably, but was very calm by the time he left. Dr. Shatara had a great bedside manner and explained everything in a manner my son could understand. He was not even scared to hear he has to have a upper GI in a couple of weeks.

Friendly, polite staff. Short wait time; just getting settled in when my name was called for my visit with Dr. Shatara. Hadn't seen Dr. Shatara in a while, so he questioned me to update my current medical status. I needed a change in my prescription and he thoroughly explained why the change was necessary. I didn't feel like he was rushing through the visit.

First time visit at Northside Gastro. Th assistants and nurses were wonderful. Dr. Shatara did a biopsy of my esophagus. He was very kind and caring. Appreciated the care I was given! Would highly recommend Northside Gastroenterology!

He is very caring and to the point. If you want someone to tell you the truth and help you find out the reason why you are feeling this way, instead of giving med and not talk to you. He is honest. I wish I could give him 10stars

The first appt. for my son was good, followed up by a scope and concerned diagnosis.*Ulcers all throughout his colon*. On a year follow up: we waited over a hour in the waiting room. Then my son was not even given a min.of time, before the Doc.took a call while leaving the room. When he returned he did ask questions or let my son talk (we still received a large bill for the office visit). He did however, scheduled a scope. After which, he told us he never made the initial diagnosis! What?? My son continues to suffer and we are seeking another doctor.
