Dr. Tamara Lynn Olt, MD

I have been going to Doctor Olt since I found out I was pregnant with my youngest child in 2003 and I just love her, she is passionate about her job, and listens to me about my medical issues and some personal issues, always give good advice and when ever I call there is no problems with medications being prescribed and if I need to be seen I get in asap. She is one of the best OBGYN in Peoria il sincerely Conseullo Miller. I would recommend her to anyone.

Have been a patient of Dr. Tamara Olt for years. She is easy to talk to, always asks if any questions, very kind, considerate and knowledgeable. I drive 60 miles to see her and have always received excellent care.

I have been a patient of Dr Tami Olt for about 12 years. Before Dr Olt become my doctor I had a bad experience with a highly recommended OB physician who seemed very angry. Since Dr Olt had been on my list of recommended doctors I decided to make an appointment with her. The 1st thing that stood out to me was her eye contact & that she really listened to me as I discussed my medical history with her. Because of a chronic condition I have had since I was about 10 years old my body is very sensitive to other medications and the side effects can be deadly. I am thankful that Dr Tami Olt listens and cares about her patients.

My daughter is a patient of Dr. Olt. I was present for many of her prenatal visits. I saw firsthand Dr. Olt’s genuine care & concern for my daughter. I also saw the love for their profession held by her Staff. I know that this is an atmosphere instilled by Dr.Olt.

In 2001 my wife went in for a hysterectomy. She had a history of melanoma. Dr. Olt said she had a fibroid on an ovary. During surgery Dr. Olt broke the cyst, which happened to be a melanoma tumor, resulting in filling my wife's abdomen with cancer cells. After a year of treatments my wife died of metastatic melanoma.

I needed to find a new Gyn, and Dr. Olt was recommended to me. I called to make an appointment and the first person I talked to had to verify my insurance to make sure they accepted it. 5 minutes later she came back and said yes, they take my insurance, so she would transfer me to someone else who could make an appointment for me. Another 5 minutes on hold and someone answered and asked what I was calling for. I said I needed to make an appointment, and she said "is someone helping you with that?" I said no and that the first lady verified my insurance was accepted and transferred me to someone who can make an appointment. She put me back on hold for about 7 more minutes, and then someone picked up again and asked who I was holding for. If it is that difficult just to make an appointment, I can't imagine how disorganized the rest of the office must be. I'll find someone else.

I saw Dr. Olt 3 times for my annual checkups. Mine are more thorough because my mother died of a gyn cancer after HRT. The last time convinced me to find another physician. Her ultrasound tech was close to doing a trans-urethral US (supposed to be trans-vaginal). She waltzed in and started talking MAJOR surgery, without discussing my US results. By the time she finished the pap, I was so stressed she could not do a pelvic. She literally snapped her gloves off and marched out!! This is not the way you treat patients, lady. That is why I am changing doctors this year.

The ultrasound technician could not find my vagina and came closer to the urethra than the vagina. Dr. Olt spent very little time with me, had a lousy bedside manner, and did not give me any concrete results from the ultrasound. All she wants to do is major surgery and expensive tests, but did not spend any time explaining why either is needed. Next year, I will find someone else for my annual exam, I will not go back to her.

Dr. Olt is amazing...if it wasn't for her, my son and possibly I wouldn't be here today. She is just as awesome in the office as she is in the delivery room. Dr. Olt always took time to answer all my questions and concerns and she is quick on her toes when an emergency occurs. I loved her bedside manner and how knowledgeable she was. I would have never left her care had I stayed in Peoria.
