Dr. Tammi R Peck-Samman

I wanted a new Dr because mine was getting old. My daughter recommended her. The 1st time I went I was so thankful to have found her. Helpful, caring, smart. She LISTENS to you. Found my Dr for life.

Dr Peck is a good Dr. However, the front desk staff is rude and demands Medicare deductibles up front before you can see the doctor. We settled on 98$ of the deductible plus copay to get to see the Dr. This brings me to the CT scan she ordered. I went to get that at clear lake imagine. They demanded 300 up front or no test, I needed the CT to compare with the last one. Which could have been gotten from a local pulmonologist. No mention of a release of information from staff or release of information from my previous Dr who had a CT scan done previously. Which brings me to this complaint: I was told she or her nurse would call me with the results of that and some lab work done. The person who called for her didn't even have all the blood test results and was to call me back, but never did. No one ever called back with the results of the CT scan. A couple of calls were placed and went to the clearl lake medical group service she was using but that didn't produce a result. Lastly, since… I started seeing her about two years ago it has taken a lot of effort to get any med refills. If she wanted me to followup every 3 months or so that was never mentioned. She knew I'm a retired and on Medicare since day one and even copays are sometimes hard to come by. The last call I got from her office was to tell me Dr Peck was calling in 4months of my psych meds because I was on too many psych meds for her to manage. Even though I only take 3. I get that, and it took about 4 months to find and get a psychiatrist appointment. She had mentioned during a visit I should get my pulmonologist to prescribe my meds for my pulmonary condition. Currently I am running out of my Albuterol sulfate and have spent about 5 days waiting for her to respond to the pharmacy's faxed request for a refill on that. I expect she will eventually give me a three months supply of my pulmonary meds and find a pulmonologist to prescribe those meds too, other than a couple of bp meds and metformin, I can go to a GP for those, and she will most likely prescribe those meds. In that case, what good is a Dr of internal medicine to me?? Or anyone else. She accepted me as a patient knowing what meds I was on and prescribed all my meds for about a year then the problems begin with routine med refills. The problem with a call back to give me lab results started from day one, though, but there was no problem having her staff call me about the psych meds. I think she is a good Dr but if you expect any information on test results or a prompt response for a med refill, forget about it if she is just managing routine conditions for you, she might be OK, but why pay for an internal medicine specialist when a GP can do the same thing and will bill your insurance company less for that same service??

Entire process of making appointment to keeping my appointment with Dr. Tammi Peck-Samman could not have been better, so pleased to find such great Doctor and office located in a very nice professional building, with all new and up to date medical, technical, equipment to take care of all patient needs. Will return again when there is a need for medical doctor advice.

Dr. Peck has always been wonderful to my husband and I. We appreciated her Jo Roberts

They are helpful and kind to grumpy, sick people. Make a list of your questions. They will take the time to answer them. They will give you referrals to a specialist, if necessary.

Dr. Peck is genuinely interested in her patients. She is always smiling, asking about your well-being, and is very personable. She will admit if she doesn't know something, which is rare to see in a doctor. She is amazing!
