Dr. Shahbandar is a fellowship-trained specialists in Interventional Pain Medicine and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He was born in Michigan and raised in Wisconsin. He attended the Medical College of Wisconsin and then completed residency and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. At the Cleveland Clinic, he was privileged to rain under some of the world's pioneers in Pain Medicine for eight years. His experiences include private practice and academic medicine. He recently spend three years training physicians at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition, when practicing interventional pain medicine, Dr. Shahbandar has been well known for his bedside manner and excellent procedural skills. One of his goals when treating patients is to alleviate pain while minimizing the use of controlled substances. His specific fields of interest include complex regional pain syndrome and spine.

He is a special Dr who always listens and understands how pain works and to treat. I have come along way since my accident in ‘97 to be able to do the things I love again. I really believe I would not have reached this goal had it not been for this wonderful staff. Everyday I am thankful I can do what I love. But as most pain patients know you have to take a break but at least now I have a chance to live my dream

I love Dr Shahbandar!! A great listener and understands how to treat pain. Always open to new ideas. It’s very hard now of days to find a Dr who doesn’t look down on you. Understands what you are saying and knows when you come in and your day is really bad. I appreciate the time he takes to listen and very thankful to have a great dr team on my side.

He Is A Great Doctor But His Staff Is Terrible! He Needs Better Staff ! Out Of The Staff He Has There Are 2 Girls That Are Probably Responsible If That Behind Every Doctor Should Be A Great Staff To Help Him Build I Say; And This Staff Is Not Cutting It .. When My Insurance Has To Do Their Work For Them .. THATS Ridiculous! Sorry!

Very minimal wait time in office and also the staff does a great job there with their patients.very polite and friendly always.this doctor is very experienced and very caring.thumbs up.

super great at spending time with his patients, listens well to what you have to say. Very easy to get appointment to see him with a very courteous staff I'm so glad that I chose him for my pain doctor.

Dr. Shahbandar was great. I got an appointment the next day, didn't have to wait when I got there, and he made me feel 100 times better. He was extremely nice, and gave me options to feel better. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone having pain. My neck finally feels great again
