Dr. Ted Matthew Roth, MD

Saw Dr. Roth after he took over my previous doctor's practice because he retired. When I had a cystoscopy, he was professional and fine, though I had no dialogue at all with him about the results. My office visits were so dismissive, insulting and insensitive that I took stars away for his skills. I was told by a nurse practitioner that he is brilliant in surgery, however my experiences in office have been impatient, abrupt, insensitive, and dismissive. He insulted previous surgeries that I had as "old" and, well it has been 20 years since I had several, so I would expect things have changed. He talked like I had incompetent doctors and surgeons, but I was treated at a highly-rated research hospital and had great results. Any discussions, he has while you are half-naked laying on the table still which, in my opinion is degrading, unprofessional and a "power-move." He made me cry, twice. Never had that experience ever in a dr office. He is brusk, has a giant ego and seems to enjoy… insulting patients and other surgeons. I began to only see the nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the office, unless I had to deal with him directly. Amazingly, 3.5 years after his arrival, he shut down the office suddenly and left without warning. I understand this is something he did previously too. Makes me wonder what is going on ..

Dr. Roth is amazing! He went through my paperwork carefully and had solid ideas to improve my health. I was very impressed with his communication throughout the exam. He showed me respect and empathy, both qualities I appreciated. He listened and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He quickly gained my trust and he gained a new patient.

Very professional and listened . I've seen a lot of other docs - Mr Ted is my new favorite . Went out of his way to answer my questions. He was very patient with me. Not a hugger but when you see you're surgeon - really. Highky recommend.

Childishly sarcastic and rude -- until a staff member/witness entered the room. Based on other patients reviews, he appears to be a garden variety bully. If forced to see him, I recommend adopting a submissive posture. Sit quietly, say nothing until he asks, then respond with one-word answers. Volunteer no additional information. His staff was nice.

Probably the most detailed doctor I've seen. Listened to everything I had to say, was very patient, answered all of my questions, educated me, and gave me choices. His use of illustrations helped me alot. Going to have my mother see him too.

Spent alot of time with me where other specialists did not. It took me a while to try everything - but Dr. Roth was very patient with me and helped with the journey. Doing better now after years of pain. Thank you

Dr Roth does talk over you, acts like you ask stupid questions, has no tact and acts like you are just a number. I get it, it’s a job, but be personable. Don’t act like every question is a dumb question, and every patient is just a number. Especially in todays world. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the trade you’re in if you don’t like people! Because that’s how you make them feel.

Saw Dr. Roth for problems I was having from surgery I had with another doctor. Spent alot of time with me, listening to me, and got to the bottom of the problem when two other specialists didn't. I'm fixed not. Pain free from the mesh that Dr. Roth reviewed. Thank you.

Very thorough . I was very comfortable and felt like my concerns were addressed . He spent alot of time w me and I will be having my adult daughter see him as well. Highly recommend
