Great experience cares about her patients

I have been seeing Dr. Jerkins for many years along with many members of my family. She is very thorough and will take as much time with you as you need! She is the best! Cannot say enough good things about her.

20 + years ago I came to Terri Jerkins for my thyroid problem. I have care through st. Thomas Hospital at this time I was wondering if she is connected to it in any kind of way so that I could see her again she was excellent. I had a CT scan this past New Year's and they told me that my other half of my thyroid gland is enlarged. Because that is the only half I have the other half is already been taken out.

Dr. Terri W Jerkins violated HIPAA law and got wrong information from a senile retired doctor about a patient that was not even their patient. DR. JERKINS LIED to the family, LIED IN THE MEDICAL RECORDS, did not even see the patient for hours upon hours but tried to get the patient committed based on false statements of nurses and HIPAA violations who were covering for abusing the patient. Dr. Jerkins incorrectly changed a medicine dose of this patient, and they patient suffered for two days begging for help. The nurses and other doctors blamed the patient, and said the patient was stupid. Fortunately, the patient got out, and the patient's doctor of about 30 years was furious and appalled and disgusted by the horrible treatment the patient endured. That doctor did blood tests, and wrote a letter showing what all the doctors and nurses and staff at Williamson Medical Center had done wrong, which was everything. They permanently injured a patient, and covered assault and battery… and other patient abuse.

I've been a patient for over 20 years and love this doctor!

Dr. Jerkins is always upbeat and wiling to listen to you issues. Has diagnosed my thyroid and 15 yrs. later, pituitary failure and explained the connection, treated condition; Helped me by giving me an Rx for my continual nose running issue I lived with for several years,, syndrome where your body no longer can shut off the production of mucus -- priceless to me! Most caring doctor (unusual these days) and keeps long term staff employment and extremely family oriented in her personal life. Not a "rush through" doctor. She has so much knowledge stored in her head it is unreal.

Dr J took me as a patient in 1999 when I had severe hypothyroidism. From the time I met her at Baptist Hospital she took charge and helped me improve drastically. I've never had a Dr who took the time she does to answer numerous questions and give advice to help my general health. She is in high demand, so once an appointment is made I try to never reschedule. I trust her completely.

Dr. Jerkins is the ONLY Endocrinologist for my family. She cares about her patients and will make sure you have what you need.

Dr. Jerkins seems to know her stuff, but getting in to see her is a struggle to say the least. I have been to her office 3 times now. One visit I waited 1.5 hrs & I had to leave before seeing her to get back to work. My biggest issue is her front office staff. The phones aren't answered, messages are returned, and Jan is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. This last time in I heard her arguing on the phone with a patient and when she hung up she announced to the back office, "That lady was a b*tch!". (This site would not allow profanity in my review. Too bad the Doctor doesn't feel that way) Jan has also accused me of lying about an appointment I had but quickly changed her tune when I played back HER voicemail confirming the date & time. I honestly dread going back in there and having to deal with Jan (assuming I can get an appt). I can't image why any doctor or business would want to be represented that way. Dr. J - Please get some professionals on your front desk!

Can't get anyone to answer phone ever!!! Always have to leave message and call is not returned. What good is a doctor you can never get an appointment with!!!
