Dr. Amaral is an Associate Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Cohen s Childrens Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He focuses on scoliosis and pediatric spine surgery, hip reconstruction, fractures, sports medicine, and pediatric foot and ankle disorders.Dr. Amaral received his undergraduate degree at the University of Rhode Island and his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx, NY. He completed his internship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University/ Montefiore Medical Center and fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery/New York Hospital/ Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, NY.He is a fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical Association. This Ghetto so call Dr. Is so unprofessional he has his secretary and receptionists doing his dirty work he gives you an appointment and 1 Week prior to your appointment the office will call to say he has an emergency and that he, won't be in the office , and if you will like to you rescheduled . And when you do rescheduled that appointment he will cancel that appointment too , with the same excuse .To make this story short he has cancel my son's appointment a total of 5 times back to back . STAY AWAY !!!!!!! he has no respect for his patients. "DR AMARAL (FAKE,LIAR,UNRELIABLE,) KIDS ARE PATIENTS TOO ", treat them with respect." This so call Dr. is working in the wrong field , he needs to re-evaluate himself whether or not he wants to be a doctor cause right now he is giving himself a very bad name to his practices and himself.

Dr. Amaral did spinals urgery on my in 2010. He was the only dr I would let touch my back without a second dr opinion
