I have been a patient of Dr.Newman for over 20 years and she is a great Doctor she was also my mom and my brother doctor she’s a wonderful doctor nice personality and she know her job very well I recommend her to one of my friends and she like her also

Dr. Newman is patient and thorough in her diagnosis. She cares for her patients and insure that her diagnosis come from clear information. If these are important to you for your complete medical outlook then try Dr. Newman. You will be as pleased as I am.

It is unfortunate that after 2 years of being a patient of hers, that I now have to find out that I would be better off speaking to a dr who is willing to make the jump to diagnose with me something, anything! I have read a lot of reviews here and have had to deal with a lot of the same things: yes, it is easy to get in same day appointments, and I get that comes with a 3 hour wait to see her for 3 minutes. I have also dealt with the feeling that she only likes to treat one small ailment at a time. If I bring up anything else during the visit, she is headstrong about ending the conversation then and there and recommending I come back for another appointment. She is quick to submit referrals and order up labs but the delay in response of these results is offensive. Her medical assistants have been sweet, but it is apparent that they are not properly trained nor knowledgeable about medicine/care. The front desk staff (besides maybe one person total) has never been friendly and process… you like a fast food order and typically do not communicate with the medical team in the back in regards to follow ups. I didn’t realize that this was not normal until I started going to the referrals (UTMB groups) and realized that you can truly have QUALITY medicine. You can opt for doctors and nurses who are compassionate and friendly and actually have bedside manner. I have already begun submitting my complaint to the supervising team of this medical group.
