Dr. Theresa Mah, DO

This doctor doesn’t listen, could not explain my condition and charged for an office visit whe the visit was a follow up. She did not seem confident in what she said. When I questioned her she got mad.

I went to this young doctor years ago. I had Rosacea on my face and she assigns me this face peeling expensive lotion which literally caused my rosacea to turn raw and bleeding. I stopped using it since it was only making matters worse and really thought she didn't know what she was doing. I go back to see her and get SCOLDED by her for stopping using the Solaraze. I explain it was not helping but making it worse. She just ignores me and insists I continue to use it. I am older female and have had other good and bad dermatologists and I can say this one is just so convinced of her approach that no words from a patient can signal to her that is off base in her diagnosis and treatment plan. She is a bad one. She is scary bad. Solaraze is not used for Rosacea and it is like a face peel for things like solar keratosis. It literally burns these things off your face but when your skin is already raw from rosacea (autoimmune condition) it just makes it bleed. Ridiculous. She did not reassess… the situation but held fast to her initial treatment plan and insisted I continue with it believe it or not. I wonder how many other treatment plans she has given out have ended up in a bad outcome? Vancouver Clinic needs to keep an eye on this one but it feels Vancouver Clinic is another small step up from Kaiser now and it is hard for them to attract and hold onto decent doctors much like Kaiser.

I've seen Dr Mah a few times. Nice person, good bedside manner and, I assume highly skilled. However...I won't see her again since I am sick of getting ripped off with ridiculously high charges for short office visits with minimal work being done. My most recent follow up was 5-6 mins with her -- tops -- a quick freezing of a spot ..and that's it -- total bill over $400. Give me a break ...I guess its billed because they can get it. No wonder healthcare costs are out of control. Let's get back to value for money spent.

Dr. Mah charged $474.00 for an office visit in which she spent about 10 minutes with me and "froze" a spot on my leg with her canister that was on the counter. She billed this as "surgery." The "freezing surgery" didn't even work and I have to pay $398.64 out of pocket since this went to my deductible. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I had to have an atypical mole removed from my foot. It was an uncomfortable procedure but Dr. Mah has been great during the entire process. She is compassionate and didn't make it feel as though she were rushing to move on to the next patient. She took her time to explain things. She even called me at home when I had called her office for additional questions. I would go back to her in a heartbeat and have no hesitations about recommending her to anyone else!
