Dr. Thomas A Armstrong, MD

My experience with Dr. Tom Armstrong and this entire practice could not have been better. I have used it for years for routine, annual eye exams and glasses but recently had cataract surgery in both eyes. I gave thought to going to Wills Hospital in Philadelphia but am glad I decided not to. Dr. Armstrong does not rush you through. He takes time to discuss the surgery and entire recovery process and whatever time you need to have your questions answered. The practice is meticulous in the pre-surgery exam and in asking for necessary information. The follow-up care was the same. I receive post-surgery calls to be sure all was well and whatever time was needed to answer questions was taken. At my follow-up visits Dr.Kaplan also took as much time as I needed to answer questions. I doubt I would have received such attention at a large hospital. The other thing I appreciated was that when I arrived for my appointments I was seen almost immediately. that was a sign of respect for… the patient that is missing from most medical offices. This all happened during the COVID pandemic and this practice has adopted procedures that provide for the patients' health. I recommend them unreservedly.

These doctors are great and have really helped me to maintain my eye sight, eventhough I have had some very difficult eye problems recently.

Dr Armstrong inplanted the wrong iol implant lens during my recent cataract surgery by him. I found out by going to Will's Eye that Armstrong didn't use the latest in technology for me. He was less than honest with me. I am glad I changed surgeon.ppp

Very bad taste to falsely advertise your doctor's awards for public display on your website

It’s a shame you have to lie about your new doctors awards on your website

I saw 2 ophthalmologists after concerns regarding my treatment. Both disagreed with the diagnosis and management. One practice in New Britain felt I was grossly mismanaged. On the positive, the staff seem well trained and well mannered.

Dr. Tom Armstrong has been my ophthalmologist for about 30 years. He has done everything to help me to maintain my vision and to see. He is the most talented surgeon and his office and staff are fantastic. My eyes are really important to me and I use them all the time for my occupation. I cannot thank Dr. Armstrong and his staff enough for helping me to maintain my eyesight!
