Dr. Thomas Harold Eickmann, MD

Dr. Thomas Eickmann is a very experienced and capable physician. He is a pleasure to work with and consistently demonstrates extra thoughtfulness as to how he prepares his patients for procedures (ex: the Knee Replacement Patient Education Packet he created). Also, it has been my experience that he pays special attention to perfecting his procedures (ex: his knee injection process was remarkably quick and painless).

So far so good. I got a knee replacement two years ago. And Dr Eickmann did an awesome job. Now I need a hip replacement. And I am very confident and at ease because Dr Eickmann is going to do the surgery. Also the hip has nothing to do with the knee replacement.

Dr Eickman has done a wonderful job helping me with knee pain. His knowledge, examination skills and treatments have been excellent. I am no doubt in line for a replacement joint, but I’m doing well in the mean time with my current treatment that he has provided for me.

Dr. Eickmann is an excellent surgeon. He addresses concerns, answers questions, he and his staff provide good pre- and post- surgery instructions and care. His Knee Replacement Patient Education Packet explains everything. I highly recommend Dr. Eickmann.

I am very confident with Dr Eickmann and his treatments. Rather than immediately performing a knee replacement, Dr Eickmann has prescribed a couple other alternatives which are giving me good results. He is very professional, personable, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with listening to my every issue. I was very happy with the results of my appointment.

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Eickmann Everything went like clockwork and he and his team explained everything thoroughly. They were all super efficient and understanding .

A little over a year ago I went to Dr. Eickmann seeking relief for chronic hip pain. After explaining the problem, activity level, where it hurt, what motions I could and could not do, how long I had been in pain, etc., he jumped to a diagnosis of sciatica. No MRI to back up that conclusion. Sent me to PT for six weeks, which did nothing. The therapist immediately felt it was an incorrect diagnosis and after six weeks of therapy felt there was something more going on. When I went back for a follow up visit I waited 45 minutes for him to come in for five minutes. Abrupt, arrogant, terrible interpersonal skills, and I got the feeling my problem just wasn’t big enough for him. He recommended an MRI but at that point I felt he was not a good fit for me. I have never “shopped around“ for a physician but I knew I needed to make a change. Fast forward one year, I found another orthopedic surgeon who listened to my symptoms, asked a lot of questions, ordered and MRI, and referred me to a… colleague who specializes in treating my problem (80% torn gluteus medius) that no amount of physical therapy was going to fix. Could have save me a lot of time, aggravation and pain if Dr. Eickmann had listened to me in the first place. So glad I moved on.

Listened to my concern and recommended a procedure instead of surgery. My knees felt immediatly better and enjoying my daily walks much more!

In the office 5 min he looked at my knee X-ray gave me a painful steroid injection. I went to a new dr turns out I have major damage. Horrible dr. Probably caused me more pain.

Everything is going really good. The surgery went excellent! Im very happy with everything
