Dr. Thomas G Ward has the following 1 specialty
An ophthalmologist has the training to do much more than just prescribe glasses. They are physicians specially trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the eyes and vision. These doctors are experts on the complicated anatomy of the eye and are trained to treat eye diseases through both medical and surgical methods.
Some common conditions that ophthalmologists treat are cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and amblyopia. In addition, ophthalmologists can provide prescriptions for eye glasses and contact lenses and perform LASIK surgery and other corrective surgeries for refractive errors like myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness), astigmatism and presbyopia.

Dr. Ward and his staff are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They make me feel comfortable and I very seldom have to wait for my scheduled appointment. I have to have shots in my eyes and Dr. Ward is excellent in making me feel comfortable and he is very experienced in giving the shot into my eye. While in Florida, I would not want to see any other eye doctor.
I had an emergency eye problem during my stay in Florida and was referred to Dr. Ward. He was an excellent doctor â I felt so reassured and comfortable with him. He explained everything to me, fixed my retinal tear, reassured me about the prognosis and followed up to make sure everything went well. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Ward for all that you did for me.
