Dr. Tom Smith, DO

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Smith following my hip surgery. One month post-operation, I experienced a snapping sensation in my thigh during physical therapy and was unable to bear weight on my leg for three days. Despite my persistent requests for an MRI of my hip and leg, Dr. Smith insisted the pain originated from my back and refused to order the appropriate imaging. As a result, I lived with severe pain that restricted my mobility to less than two blocks for two years. A different orthopedic surgeon eventually ordered the necessary MRI, which immediately identified the issue as a tendon injury in my thigh. This condition could have been diagnosed and treated much sooner had my concerns and symptoms been taken seriously. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professional care and the diagnostic oversight I experienced under Dr. Smith’s supervision.
