This doctor is fine until you disagree with him. When proven that a course of action is necessary, but was not in his initial action plan he may end up terminating your medical relationship. He may end up talking down to you if you have a legitimate need to taper off of pain killers for a diagnosed injury regardless of whether or not you were in no way abusing the drug, but simply did not want to experience known withdrawals associated with the prescription when discontinued abruptly. It's unfortunate when caregivers are more concerned with passive aggression than empathy for their patients.
