Dr. Thomas Hewitt Sachy, MD

I was his patient for 15 year and I was tested every visit.I don't believe he's guilty and my sister agrees.s

I saw Doc for over 8 years & this is the only Dr that I have ever been to that has honestly listened to me. He is extremely compassionate, intelligent and honestly wants to help anyone that needs any help of any kind. I never had a bad experience in my 8 plus years. I felt very comfortable talking to him about anything I needed to. And he told me that Anytime I needed to talk to him about absolutely any thing that he was there for me & he absolutely was. I am proud to know him and call him my friend.

You will wait for most of the day to see the doctor because he doesn’t bother to come in until hours after he is supposed to be seeing patients. He did an MRI on me and then sprung it on me that I either had MS or a brain disorder that would probably cause early onset dementia and death but no worries, have some Xanax and Alzheimer’s meds. I was 42 and grieving over my partner’s death. He mainly talked about himself during my appointments. But I got a boatload of drugs.

I've been his patient for over 8 years and his insight into me, the whole me, has caused me to catch a few medical problems not known before seeing him. He is excellent as a pain management physician and take great care to be sure you are not taking too much or abusing your medications. He's worth every penny I"ve paid and the staff he employs are excellent.

Dr. Sachy is one of a kind! I am extremely fortunate that my Rheumatologist referred me to him many years ago. I have been seeing him for almost 10 years now & I must say that he has played a vital role in not only me being alive today, but me having quality of life to day. When I first saw him, I must say that I was at my wits end & hopeless! He is very thorough, he listens, taking time to let you speak. He is simply great! Anyone that has him as their Doctor is extremely Blessed!!! The wait time to see Dr. Sachy can vary, because he takes his time with patients. Being a Psychiatrist sometimes people require more time than the norm, so this can effect wait times. I understand this, because I have been the one who required extra time & you never know when it may be YOU!!! Overall he 's worth any wait!

I was referred to Dr. Sachy by Worker's Compensation. If I had my own personal choice at that time, it would definitely have NOT been Dr. Sachy. Not only was I not shown any compassion or genuine interest in regards to my personal welfare, I was constantly treated like a criminal, asked to roll up my sleeves to look for needle marks, toyed with emotionally, and dropped as a patient just because I was out of town when i was demanded to show up THAT DAY for a "pill count". Not only was I out of town, but i also developed pneumonia during that time, for which I had to call a family member to come and get me to help me get home. Dr. Sachy told me that he demanded proof that I was out of town, or else he would totally dismiss me instantly without notice. I was prescribed controlled substances, which I was very much in need of for functionality and quality of life, and I have never heard of a doctor being able to terminate prescription of those drugs instantly since that causes… life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. Needless to say, it was next to impossible for me to get any kind of PROOF that I was out of town, but I brought a document from the doctor that showed i had pneumonia during the time that he demanded the pill count. That did not satisfy Sachy, and i was immediately dismissed, left to deal with my severe pain and withdrawals all on my own, since my worker's compensation had ended and been settled for next to nothing. That experience almost destroyed my life and the lives of my family, and after praying i was very fortunate to find another doctor who understood my situation and felt that I was treated so badly that Dr. Sachy should have lost his license as a physician. My new doctor saved my life from Dr. Sachy's negligence, and I thank God that there are other doctors out there who actually DO care about patients' well being. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Sachy to treat a handful of feces, much less a human being, and I pray that all of the other patients whose lives he has ruined will find the care that I have found.

Im sorry but he can't tell when someone is having a nervous break down

I personally think Dr.Sachy is a good DR, but is office staff is not the most welcoming. They are rude,and they never answer the phone,so don't miss an appointment because you can't call and reschedule because they won't answer.

One of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have ever met! He took time to talk to me and get to a CORRECT diagnosis and treatment rather than rushing through and throwing meds and a quick diagnosis out there. Wonderful doctor with a wonderful staff who really care and listen to patients!

DR. THOMAS SACHY IS A WONDERFUL PERSON, FOREMOST. HE TREATS YOU AS AN EQUAL TO HIMSELF - NOT AS IF HE'S SMARTER THAN YOU!!! HIS KNOWLEDGE IS THE HIGHEST I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED AS I'VE BEEN TO MANY DOCTORS ABOUT MY CONDITION WHOSE KNOWLEDGE OF MY SITUATION CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO COMPARE TO DR. SACHY'S! HIS MANNERISMS ARE MUCH MORE INTO CARING FOR EACH OF HIS PATIENTS AND NOT TRYING TO RUSH EACH ONE OFF BECAUSE OF NEEDING TO SEE THE NEXT PATIENT...THAT'S WHY HE SOMETIMES HAS A LONG WAIT-TIME TO SEE HIM. HE TAKES TIME TO LISTEN TO ALL A PERSON'S PROBLEMS, AND, DOESN'T EVER MAKE ONE FEEL 'RUSHED' WHEN THEY ARE SPEAKING TO HIM. TO GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE OF HIS PATIENCE-I HAVE BEEN THERE AT 9:00 P.M. SOMETIMES WHEN HIS LAST SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT FOR THE DAY (I WAS NEXT TO LAST) WAS STILL THERE! I HAVE HEARD THAT HE HAS SOMETIMES BEEN AT THE OFFICE UNTIL 11:00 AT NIGHT SEEING HIS APPOINTMENTS. ALSO, HE DOESN'T MAKE US FEEL LIKE 'PATIENTS', BUT FRIENDS OF HIS!!! DR. THOMAS SACHY IN GRAY, GA… IS THE ONLY DOCTOR OF HIS KIND WHICH I HAVE EVER SEEN WHO REALLY TAKES THE TIME TO LISTEN TO YOU, NOT JUST HAVE YOU IN FOR AN HOUR OR SO AND SAY "YOUR TIME'S UP!"
