Dr. Thomas Stuckey completed his residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Stuckey returned home to Baton Rouge to care for the community that served him so well growing up. Now, as a member of Eye Specialists of Louisiana, Dr. Stuckey practices comprehensive ophthalmology performing everything from glasses and contacts fittings to complicated ocular surgery. He is an experienced cataract surgeon, emphasizing the importance of optimal visual outcomes, including premium lens implants for astigmatism and near vision restoration. He also performs vision correction using the AMO iLASIK CustomVue blade-less laser suite. his ophthalmology residency, Dr. Stuckey completed two years of general surgery training that he puts to work performing an array of oculoplastic procedures such as eyelid lifts, repair of lid malpositions and removal of eyelid lesions. Dr. Stuckey is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is also involved in several research projects with the Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
