Dr. Thomas M Susko has the following 2 specialties
A rheumatologist is a physician who has received extensive training in diagnosing and treating rheumatic conditions. Rheumatic conditions involve the joints, soft tissues, autoimmune system, vascular system, and connective tissues.
Some of the conditions that rheumatologists treat are rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, sarcoidosis, vasculitis, and lupus. These are all conditions that involve a lot of pain and make mobility difficult. Rheumatologists use medications, such as analgesics, NSAIDs, steroids, DMARDs, infliximab, and adalimumab, as well as occupational therapy, in order to decrease pain and improve a patient's quality of life.
- Internal Medicine
An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.<br>These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.ttcqeayetrwczwezdueawsrsbdyr

Didn't touch my skin unless he had on gloves, even if the skin was on my arm or neck. No eye contact and spoke sharply. If I didn't like his idea he would try to bully me into liking it rather than explaining why he thought it was a good idea. Never diagnosed me or gave me his thoughts in any of the several appointments I had with him. Never told me the results of the many tests he required. Spoke into a recorder most of the appointment and shushed me if I interrupted to ask a question. An all-around bad experience.
Dr Susko is an exceptional physician

Dr. Susko first of all is extremely knowledgeable, is patient, and is interested in his patients. He is meticulous about analyzing rheumatological and related conditions, and his manner is exactly what you would hope for in a first class, or should I say world class physician. You never get the feeling that he is too busy to hear what you have to say.

An extremely sharp & humane doctor. His diagnosis in unparalled.Spent 90-minutes examining my 81-year oldmom, and said " you have a blood-clot in your right leg & go for ultrasound nextdoor right now ".I suggested doing ultrasound in Encino (where mom lives)at Tarzana Hospital, but Dr. Susko disagreed & said you do theultrasound IMMEDIATELY at next door facility.Sure enough, ultrasound confirmed Dr. Susko's diagnosis, & took mom toSt Jonh's Emergency Room. Now mom is assigned to Dr. Casciato(an excellent Hematalogist & Oncologist).I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Susko. He is highly clear-minded & puts thepatient at ease so that he/she trusts him100%
