Dr. Thong Pham, MD

I just saw Dr Pham for the first time. My original appointment was July 12th but less than 48 hours before his office moved it to August 18th. The office staff was rude immediately upon entry. I was not asked if it was okay for a resident to see me before doctor Pham, but that didn't seem to matter. Once Pham came into the room finally he interrupted me several times. He did not listen to anything I said and pretty much told me everything I have been told is wrong and his opinion was correct. He laughed every time I tried to tell him what I thought was vital information. Pham is one of the only neuro-ophthalmologists in the city, but go elsewhere if at all possible to save yourself some hassle.

I saw him almost two hours after my appointment time. He was condescending and rude and did nothing. He basically said he didn't know what was wrong and dismissed me. A total waste of my time!

I was referred to Dr. Pham because of visual disturbances following a stroke. I think both I and my ophthalmologist thought he was a neuro-ophthalmologist. After my visit I have serious doubts about his training, if any, as a neurologist. He did not review my medical history, he showed no interest in reading or hearing about the results of my brain MRI or CAT Scan. He also seemed unable to comprehend my verbal description of my issues. He did do an eye exam, but no more than my ophthalmologist had already done. His recommendation was to see a neurologist. I said, “I thought YOU were a neurologist.” He response was, “ Well, uh......you need to see a neurologist. You may still be having strokes.” This guy, and I say guy because he certainly falls short of being a “doctor”, certainly doesn’t have his head in the game and could give a crap about helping anyone. It scares me that he is “teaching” resident doctors. But then, a good percentage of doctors teach because they… would never survive in private practice. Save your time and money and seek care elsewhere.

Very dismissive

Was seen by him due to having psuedotumor cerebri, and was told that my neurosurgeon and my neurologist had misdiagnosed me and I just had a common headache like everyone else. After having all the MRIs, spinal taps, and testing showing what I have!!! He had horrible bedside manner and I would not recommend him to anyone. Worst experience I've ever had and I've been seen by alot of doctors due to my condition.

Treated me with care, thorough exam to determine the cause of my sudden onset vision problem. Gave me help to deal with the problem and determined that time was needed to see if it will get better or worse in a few weeks with instruction that if it got worse I was to get back to him ASAP. If it got better I would not need the expensive lenses that is needed at the time of the exam. I am so glad that the option to wait was presented, the problem has greatly lessened and hopefully will clear up totally. I go back in a couple weeks and am sure he will keep in mind what is best for my long term vision health just as this visit.

Dr. Pham treated my husband with respect and was very professional. He and his assiociate preformed some tests and made a diagnoises that cannot be treated. He listened to his concerns and was treated with dignity.

I’m a devout Christian and am in no way talking about him, but showed no compassion whenever I’ve been dealing with an eye and vision problem that is beyond words debilitating. Told me to come back if it got worse and I told him it was weekly so he said come back in three months. To me it was no better than going to Walmart or somewhere for an exam. Just trying to help anyone if you truly have something serious going on I would advise seeking care somewhere else.

Dr. Pham has the worst dr complex I have ever saw, and had horrable bedside manner. He did not want to help me, and blamed everything on my headaches. I have been diagnosed by other dr's for neurological, and eye issues although to him there not there. He wants me to stop taking my medicine that has been helping me with these conditions. No thank you. I understand that it's possible for a dr. To misdiagnose however I dont see several drs telling a patient they have something and being wrong. He then spoke bad about my other drs. Who have around 30 years of experience. Wish I never would have went to him.

Ive never met such an arrogant, cocky , rude , non professional, SOB of a man who didn' give a rat's rearend about diagosing a condition and trying to help improve a patient's illness. He needs his license revoked.
