I feel bad that it's taken me this long to out this warning out. I went in for a simple partial hemmeroidectomy (3-4 day recovery time). Heilezer botched the surgery do badly that when I was in the ER just hours after, 3 doctors didn't believe that was the procedure is had done because the incisions were so unnecessarily long and deep that it was unrecognizable. I ended up on bed rest for 3 months for what should have been a 3 day recovery.

He is disrespectful,arrogant, verbally abusive ,has anger issues. Lacks the ability to treat people with respect. Made my mother feel as if hes superior, and your nothing compared to him. Just because your privileged and educated it does not entitle you to treat people as if they are nothing you lack empathy and respect for people. Yell at your nurses and the people you encounter. how dare you. He needs to learn how to treat people with respect without raising your voice. Have a modicum of decorum. If you don't like Latinos exclude yourself form those patients

I visited Dr Heilizer at first, but then switched to another specialist and had a procedure done. After that I came to dr Heilizer to hear his opinion on the matter. He evidently got mad that I had a surgery with another doctor, refused to look at me and said that I go back to my new doc (which I had obviously done before and just needed a second opinion).

I had hemorrhoids surgery with Dr. Heilizer 3 years ago. The experience was great. Healing process was fast and not much pain. He was very nice and professional that makes me less nervous and more comfortable. Now, I have recurrent hemorrhoids that I am planning to go back to him to get the treatment.

Iâ??ll venture to guess that a doctorâ??s appointment is not included in lists of our â??Top Ten Favorite Things To Do...and if the appointment is for a colon/rectal exam,-forget it! Personally, I spent a year feeling humiliated, losing sleep and being afraid about what could be happening with my body! I was also too embarrassed to tell anyone about this, so suffered in silence until the day I met Dr. Heilizer. The title of my review is heartfelt; Dr. Heilizer is at the top of his field and I strongly recommend him to anyone in need of his specialty.He put me at ease quickly, I wasn't rushed through my appointment, nor was the exam embarrassing. He treated my condition with a professional manner, explaining cause, prevention and what to expect in the future. I canâ??t imagine wanting more from a doctor, and itâ??s great to say this with no hesitation!

I have gone through 4 of these "fun" surgeries over 20 years, and I can say (bar none) that this doctor is the best. I was walking next day, and at work in 4 days!! Thinking of going to Northwestern Gastro Docs? Think again! One of them screwed up my surgery so bad I could not walk for 2 weeks. Another screamed profanity at nurses that no surgery person goes home without a stool first! Don't suffer with them, go to the best.
