Dr. Timothy Keefe Bowers JR., MD

Dr. Bowers removed my gall bladder 12 years ago. The surgery seems to have been a success but the sutured skin on my belly button has never healed correctly. It still itches, is sometimes painful from dryness, bumpy/raised, discolored, and altogether unsightly. When I've been examined by other doctors, they all have the same surprised looks on their faces by the bad job he did on it and can't believe it's been that many years since my surgery because it still looks like a fairly fresh scar. His bedside manners aren't the greatest either. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend him - not when there are other better surgeons in the area to choose from.

Having not met Dr Bowers prior to my operation for a double hernia, I was slightly apprehensive, but any fear was allayed by the theatre staff who clearly held him in high regard. When he arrived scrubbed and ready to go, he presented as extremely personable, explained clearly what he was proposing to do, made ample time for any questions, and generally exuded an air of confidence. In the recovery room he chatted to myself and my wife about post-op' do's and dont's, and somehow managed to do the job without leaving that slicing pain some of us older folk may recall from surgery in days gone by. I gave him five stars because there was nothing I could fault throughout the whole episode.

Never even performed an exam on my daughter. He was very condescending in his explanation, and I don't think he had even looked at her chart. I wouldn't agree to have him operate on her unless it was a life or death situation and time was of the essence.

The whole staff is amazing including Dr.Bowers. I had a laparoscopy cholecystectomy and he did a fantastic job. I knew what to expect and I was up moving around by the 5th day after surgery. Kind and courteous. Front desk staff is amazing and friendly and that's something you do not see that much anymore.

I would not recommend this physician to a friend. The issues with my recent treatment by this physician are: poor pain management, almost minimalizing my pain; during all hospital and office visits there was never a physical exam performed by this physician; very cavalier about my awful post operative complications.

Dr. Bowers operated on myself, and my wife while she was pregnant! I would highly reccomend him!

Do not let this man touch you or anyone in your family!!! Even in an emergency, find someone else!!!!!

Dr. Bowers is a really good and caring surgeon. I would recommend him highly.
