I had a 2,500 graft neograft procedure at Dr. Neavin's office two days ago. Everything went better than expected and I was very impressed with the doctor, technicians and services performed. The Dr. was very knowledgeable and patient in answering questions, was realistic about expected results from the procedure, and unlike some other local hair doctors he didn't oversell himself or his services. I did my research before choosing a doctor and was impressed by his training and credentials. I asked a ton of questions during the procedure and all were answered thoroughly based on personal experience. Overall, I think Dr Neavin is very trustworthy. He hires the most experienced technicians which I think is very critical. The last thing you want is inexperienced people screwing up your hair! One of the tech's had 14 years of experience with hair restoration. During the procedure, Dr Neavin stopped by frequently to make sure everything was going well and asked questions. The… process of having my head numbed was a little painful and somewhat similar to being at the dentist but it's over quickly and then I felt nothing for the rest of the day. You also have to be patient lying face down for a few hours. Fortunately, the office has a very comfortable massage chair. This is day two after the procedure and I have had no swelling or pain since the surgery. I have heard that others will experience these symptoms but for me there were none. The doctor also warned me of this possible side effect but I seem to be one of the lucky ones. I did feel extremely tired the day after but that's to be expected from a 12 hour procedure. The painkiller made me nauseous and a couple of times I wanted to throw up; this may not be everyone's experience but keep this side effect in mind. I'm now taking tylenol as a substitute although with no pain I don't feel like I need it. I can see small scabs being formed but most of them are hidden by the hair that I already had so I can see myself going out in public in 6-7 days without anyone really noticing anything.
