Dr. Tina Rae Melendrez-Chu, MD

Scheduling is a pain, but that's an Hawaii thing. She's amazing! Appointments never feel rushed and she listens and offers great real world advice on how to make your specific life better. I've moved a bit and have had 4 Psychiatrists, she is by far the best!

Dr. Chu was very helpful in recommending a medication for my autistic/depressed adult child, which currently is working out wonderfully. She's a great listener, was down to earth and very compassionate. My child felt comfortable speaking with her and Dr. Chu has provided us with a lot of great information.

I think she tried, but she didn't catch a major drug interaction between a mood stabilizer and another medication I took which cut the efficacy of the mood stabilizer. Big. Fat. Ooops. When I became incredibly unstable it was completely put on me, she took no accountability. Still contemplating malpractice suit. Dr. that took over after her, her colleague, dismissed her allegations that I needed a chemical evaluation. Very unresponsive, cannot get ahold of her when things get tough.
