Dr. Tobe Fisch, MD

Dr. Fisch is the best. She has been my primary care doctor for 30 years and has never disappointed me.

Great doctor!

She misdiagnosed a true emergency condition by an urgent telephone call early one morning and then inexplicably would not order a needed medical test which was a brain MRI to rule out a stroke. Ultimately I was admitted to an ER in a regional hospital with an immediate diagnosis of a stroke and given the needed brain MRI and then subsequently seen by top a cardiologist and neurologist. Good thing we recognized the symptoms of slurred speech and not being able to move tongue. Dr. Fisch did not even come see me in the hospital after her glaring clinical miscalculation. She even saw me in the hospital area and she wouldn't even come see me. Do not trust your life or family with such a stubborn know it all physician who lacks compassion and knowing what the Hippocratic oath truly means to herself and her patients. Stay away from her callous clinical judgement but much worse her bedside manner and lack of any patient compassion.

Dr. Fisch has been my primary physician for nearly two decades. She is very responsive if I feel there is something urgent going on. At all appointments, she gives me the time I need to ask my questions. She calls me to discuss test results or provide further information. She has caught things that other doctors have missed, and prevented some serious problems for me. By the way, I am overweight, and while she does caution me about this at my physicals, she is definitely not obsessed about it! I have my share of health issues, and I work at being knowledgeable about my health. I feel completely comfortable discussing options and having differing opinions with her, which she respects.

after waiting in a gown in the exam room this rude "doctor" came in and told me she did not have enough time to see me and I would have to reschedule! Needless to say I will jot be going back to see her, guess I wasn't important enough!

Dr Fisch has been my physician for years, and I have found her to be thorough, appropriately caring, and very much on target in her treatment.

She is a great internist, always on time, although it is difficult to get an appt. and sometimes she stops taking patients. She knows all the tests, procedures etc that you need and at what age, and also recommends the best and brightest Specialists that she is familiar with.In my case, a few times we weren't sure what i had and she kept me in the hosp and had different doctors see me until they figured it out.I have been going to her with my chronic illness and she works with my specialist and keeps track of all my meds and tests. She is a wonderful woman as well as a great Doctor.

After reading the above reviews, I wasn't surprised to see that Dr. Fisch received negative reviews. I thought it was only me that she displayed an unprofessional attitude towards but realize she is in general a selfless, uncaring doctor. Will never see her again or recommend anyone to seek her advice!

I got to talk to Dr. Fisch subsequent to my wifes appointment with her. I am a medical professional, and during my contact with Dr. Fisch and her office staff, I witnessed pretty outrageous things.First even though my wife indicated in her initial paperwork that I am allowed to discuss her medical facts with Dr. Fisch, for some time after I called, the office staff claimed that I am not entitled to discuss my wifes medical problems due to HIPAA regulations. It took several phone calls back and forth until they finally located the HIPAA form that I claimed, from the beginning, that was in their possession. That left me wondering, aside from the nuisance, what happens in a medical emergency when family members need to discuss something important and the office staff is uncertain whether there was a HIPAA form or where it is. Most family members do not have the time and the patience to play phone tag when it comes to these issues. Second even though I wanted to discuss my wifes health… condition with Dr. Fisch, I wasnt able to do so, because Dr. Fisch exhibited an inability to listen that I rarely witnessed before. Dr. Fisch constantly interrupted me. For privacy reasons I will not discuss specifics, but I will mention that Dr. Fisch was completely unknowledgeable with respect to a medical condition that is currently described in many peer-reviewed journal. Instead, she asked my wife whether she has seen a psychiatrist. Yet, as I pointed out, psychiatric diagnoses are usually based on very specific symptoms and signs, they are not made on exclusion criteria, and they are not the solution when a physician is clueless. When I asked Dr. Fisch very specific medical questions, that any practitioner should be very familiar with, particularly when they are family physicians, she suddenly was in a hurry to see other patients, did not have time to talk more, was not willing to answer any other questions about treatment perspectives, and did not provide me with any options to talk again. Her attitude was demeaning and completely unprofessional, and I believe that if a patient needs anything more than having a prescription refilled, talking to Dr. Fisch and trying to find solutions together will become an impossible task as it was for me. In addition, even when I recommended Dr. Fisch to read more about the specific medical condition, she was completely unresponsive and uninterested. The specific medical condition that I am referring to is the topic of several medical conferences, which also provide participants with American Medical Association Continuing Medical Education credits for their participation. It is beyond my comprehension how an MD can be so unresponsive to a medical condition that is the topic of a conference for which her medical organization offers continuing education credits, and does not pay attention even when suffering patients, and other professionals, ask her to do so.

Horrible doctor. Treated my mom, horrible bedside manner doesn't care about paitent. Suggested that we stop feeding my mother and let her die when terminally ill. Did not show any compasion for my mom or the family.
