You saw me for the first time, regarding my back problem. Over a Video Consultation. I didn't really understand how you were going to assess my back condition without being in a room with me. Without physically viewing my issue. Without even the laying of hands on my back. Doctor, you didn't even ask me to try and walk for you. I remained seated for the entire appointment. I had been up in agony for days when we finally met. Do you have any idea what this is like? To become crippled overnight? To have my entire life changed? I can't stand up I can't get up my short staircase to my bedroom. I have to pull myself up stair by stair. The pain is excruciating. You denied my plea for help. You had your office tell me that there was really nothing that could be done for me. I understand that you believed that because I was a woman, I was more emotional than others. Really ?? Well, it's been over a year now. I can not walk without the aid of a Walker or cane. I spend every… day going back and forth from old Saybrook to New Haven and back just for a sip of methadone, for pain management. Ridiculous To me, I've become pathetic. My 25 year relationship ended due to my problems. It's been so incredibly difficult to cope. To breathe. This has taken my Life. If you had only looked up at me 1 time. You would have seen the excruciating pain in my eyes. Yes it's there very exposed for everyone to see. I was a very active person. I was at the park every single day with my puppy. I would walk and run for hours and hours, every day. Do you understand what I'm going through? Would it have been so difficult to find out the reason why this happened? You don't just become Crippled overnight for no reason. I have told my story on YouTube and Facebook Hoping that, the next woman, won't be treated as I was.

I couldn't say enough about Dr. Applegate,he listens,he's caring,and he's very compassionate.If he wasn't all of these things I wouldn't be going all these years to him.

I was timid and doubtful about my procedure with Dr Applegate I have to admit that after exactly 3 weeks today, how incredibly you have improved my life. I can bend down, do boring but necessary house chores and I can sleep and turn in my bed. Dr, Applegate is not waisting his time with small talks, he is just performing a wonderful job. I would NOT Recommend, I had the Vertebral Augmentation done in Dec 2016, My back is worse than ever, in pain all the time now, It doesn't work and is Very Expensive, $18,000.00 for only being in his office where its done for only 1/2 hr. and his office called me on the phone threating me for the WHOLE Payment while it was still pending thru my Insurance company, Never went back,

Loves to do immediate surgery. No follow-up.

Dr Applegate is amazing. I went thru 6 months of the most sever pain I have ever been in. Dr Applegate went out of his way to make sure I was seen promptly, I was made comfortable, and had 2 successful surgeries. I have been pain free for over a year and am back to my former active life. Couldn't of had a more competant caring doctor. His office staff is also friendly, courteous, and caring. I would recommend him to any one,

I would not recommed this doctor to anyone I know. He did not seem to want to be bothered to really help mewith my back pain and find out what was really causing the pain. I found him to be very unprofessional and uncaring! Last visit they took my copay, did not examine me, gave me a note to go back to work and wrote me off.
