Dr. Todd Adam Gersten, MD

Dr. Gersten was highly recommended to me and I have to say he did not disappoint. I came to see him from Chicago. He is extremely knowledgeable and well versed in Hemo/Oncology. Up to date on all aspects of testing and treating blood cancers. He is compassionate and patient and listens without rushing you. Offers fantastic advice. I felt heard, with all of my concerns and questions answered fully. I am currently in treatment and feel comfortable in my decisions based on his expertise.

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I knew I would be having surgery, chemo, and radiation. Dr. Gersten provided detailed information about what my chemo protocol was going to be, and even wrote down the names of the drugs for me and how many sessions I would need wth each one. I felt confident I was in good hands, and the chemo nurses were also phenomenal. While right now I am in remission, I still see Dr. Gersten regularly and am on my second estrogen suppressor, since the side effects from the first one proved to be too much for me. I am very satisfied with the level of care I receive.

On Feb 27,2017 I was sent to Dr. Gersten, I was devastated when Dr. Gersten walked in the room and said Claire you have Leukemia. He was straight and to the point and handle my diagnosis agressively. I feel very blessed to have been referred to him because of how he handled my case I am here today to be writing this review! He helped me through out my whole journey and from Day 1 gave me Hope that I was going to make it! So far I am 2 years in Remission from the aggressive AMLFLT3 and post stem cell transplant 2 years ! He was there throughout my chemo , also his nurse Anna is the best who also gave me hope , and Eve at the front desk is great! The whole staff along with Dr. Gersten is great. I highly recommend Dr. Gersten and his staff.

After being diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine cancer, I though my life was over. My world came crumbling down. I am a single Mom of a special needs child and after hearing the news I was simply terrified. Then I saw Dr. Gersten. He not only gave the the support and hope I needed to fight this disease, he SAVED MY LIFE!. I am now three years in remission and I owe it all to Dr. Gersten. I truely believe that if I had not had him as my physican I would not be here today. He is an amazing physician.

He is current with the latest/best treatments and he religiously monitors my husband’s condition to stay on top of any changes. When needed, he consults with other specialists to coordinate treatment. His staff is top notch as well. And the nurses working in the infusion area are angels on earth!!! A cancer diagnosis is a scary thing to hear and deal with, but Dr. Gersten and his professional staff are the best fighting partners anyone could ask for. I recommend him without hesitation!!

Most doctors aree knowledgeable and competent at what they do, what sets Dr. Gersten apart is his demeanor and genuine concern for his patients; we met in an impersonal manner by way of his making rounds at the hospital where I was in ICU so to him I could have been just another face but instead he treated me as though I had been his patient for many years. When I went to his office for a follow up it was as though with an old friend who also was my treating physician and the same with his staff. Many good vibes from being treated as a person, not treated like just a faceless insurance claim.

In the last 2 years, I have been diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer. My treatment has taken place at Florida Cancer Specialist (FCS) in Wellington. My primary physician has been Dr. Todd Gerstein. While my struggles have been challenging, and the processes have been difficult, the people and staff FCS have been amazing! They have shown me and my family every consideration possible with kindness and compassion.. Dr. Gersten has given us all of the time that we request, answering all of our questions, and being completely truthful, even when the truth is sometimes difficult. My family, (my wife and 4 grown children) rotate helping me with my appt. and treatments. So when "We" show up, Dr. Gersten is often asked questions by some family members that have been previously asked by my other family members. He always takes time to help us understand the process, and give us realistic expectations. This process of treatment and survival from cancer is difficult and scary,… not knowing where it ultimately leads, but I must say, after 2 years of treatment, I believe me and my family made the right choice in treatment centers, and more specifically, Dr. Gersten. We truly believe I am getting the best care, with real compassion, by a truly highly dedicated and knowledgeable physician.

Dr Gersten is an amazing doctor! I was 29 when I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma and to say I was devastated is an understatement. Dr Gersten has always had a very caring demeanor and put my nerves to rest . After following his instructions and regiment I am now in remission and continue our follow ups . I highly recommend Dr Gersten :)

In 2014 my wife was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, after having called 3 other Oncologists and being told to wait 2-3 months to be seen, Dr. Gersten agreed to handle my wife's case immediately. Dr. Gersten is a professional and handles him self as such, if you are looking for a doctor to cry and sob and feel sorry for you go elsewhere, but if you are looking for someone to put a plan together to help you beat cancer and get healthy again look no further than Dr. Gersten.
