Dr. Raabe did a lower back fusion nine months ago and I now have absolutely no pain in my back or legs. It was a two hour surgery with one hour in recovery. His Physician’s Assistant is also very knowledgeable. Dr. Raabe is also a Christian man, having prayer with me before surgery. Put me at ease. I would highly recommend him.
I lift a comment a few years ago and I now know what this surgary did to me I seen the worlds top orthopedic for the answers Dr. Kevin Gill at UT Southwestern . Looked at my new MRI I had done in April 2017 and this is what he told me the rods in my back are backwards causing me to have flat back syndrome due to the surgery done in 2005 by Dr Raabe I have lost 12 years of my life and I now have to have a second and more invasive surgery only a neurosurgeon can fix me now I think the good reviews on some sites are fabrication from his staff or friends he did surgary on me in 2005 and I have suffered ever since I am disabled due to the surgery .. At the time he did my surgery I was diagnosed with a degenerate bone disease by him I don't know weather that is evin the truth he was the first and only orthopedic I seen in 2005 I now wonder if I was a guinea pig for this dr what kind of Dr would take a 35 yr old girl and disable her. When I seen him I had lower back pain but nothing like this kind of pain he did x-rays after the surgary which don't tell much please people after surgery if you are in severe pain get a MRI and see a good orthopedic to read them I was a nurse and I just thought I didn't heal right . No one would won't to think there Dr put rods in backwards .this dr talks to you and spins time with you but I can't call him a Surgon.
Dr Raabe is very up to date on technology and surgical techniques. He takes the time to listen and make every attempt to make your joint problem, functional as possible. I highly recommend Dr Raabe as a surgeon. An awesome surgeon that ask for guidance through prayer, for his surgical skill. He prayed with my husband and I prior to my surgery. A very important aspect of patient care and guidance. We have a strong belief of Spiritual Guidance for healing. Thank you Dr Raabeð
My surgery made me worse I'm now trying to find a dr. To try and fix what he didn't I'm worse my surgery was in 2005 I was 35 yrs old with low back pain . I opted for surgery to get better he did tell me once you mess with God's creation you may never be the same .had I known then what I know now I tell ever one find a good Dr I now walk bent over I'm on methadone and norco and it only takes the edge off .of corse I followed up but 6 weeks you are still healing you don't know what will happen .I'm 46 now and I am depressed in pain and suffering people see me and thay can tell by the way I walk it's really sad I will never ride horses or dance like I use to . And I'm glad that outhers have done good I can tell you what has happened to me i would not recommend any one and he should call and ask his patients after 6 months how things are I doubt he would won't to try to fix what he made worse. Good luck my friend and take your time.
